btw, just for clarification: The BioWare IP that got canceled was Shadow Realms, which was developed by BioWare Austin. (known for The Old Republic) The former Mass Effect team is in Edmonton. (As is the Dragon Age team.) This is the team that is (still) working on a completely new IP. The next Mass Effect is developed by BioWare Montreal. Also, this fact about a new IP from BioWare Edmonton was known since November 2012 and not news as of E3 2014. XD

Can there really be a new Mass Effect? If it is after Mass Effect 3 then it would be hard to make, considering how vastly different the four endings are in ME3. If it is a prequel then the new game won't have the universe altering choices that make the series what it is, as the ME universe has a clear history. It's either in an alternate universe or Indoctrination Theory is confirmed.
