I’m not too surprised at the results except for your fabric samples. Fabri-Tac by its very name implies fabric though I have used it successfully for rhinestones. I use it for fabric, lace, and trims and love it. I have never had anything pull off, and in fact can hardly get it off. It doesn’t stain, stays clear and soft and I can even tea dye over it and it gives me a uniform color.

Informative episode. Not that both products should have at least 24 hours for full strength. And E-6000 continues to gain strength for up to 3 days if you can wait that long.

I am using Fabritac for reupholstering vintage bicycle saddles, (mostly old Italian ones ) ,glue grabs fast which is very important to me because seats got crazy anatomical shapes, I do not use any staples glue holds very well ( leather to plastic) ,lot of times I do same saddles over and over again every 3-5 years,bikes otfen left outside all year around ,so when I am getting them back I am checking the glue and it holds pretty good.

Thank you for the effort, it was really helpful. I think that plastic to plastic is not held, but plastic to fabric might work. Same thing for some other materials. Surfaces that have some pores hold on better.

Superglue doesn’t even work on plastic or silicone… You need some kind of bonding specialized for that but surprisingly for fabric I found that hot glue works the best

Thank you so much for your valuable info and research on products. I crocheted my granddaughter an acrylic blanket which I crocheted flowers, hearts, and butterflies to attach and adorn the blanket. My question is, can E6000 fabric glue bond acrylic yarn to acrylic yarn and if so, will it hold permanently and is it washable. Thank you.

Would you have a suggestion for metal embellishments to paper. I have the metal pieces with rhinestones I am putting on paper purses. I used hot glue and they are coming off. I thought about trying e6000 and beacon 3 in 1 glue as I have both. BUt was curios what others think so I dont ruin my project. haha! this video was great!
@UpcycleDesignLab7 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching. I don't know for certain what the E6000 glue would do to the paper but I don't think that it is an acid free (safe for paper) glue. I don't know if this would work for your project but certain mounting tapes are made for metal and I think they are safe for paper.

What it's a third glue on fabric on name "a"?? And Which glue you recommend for fabric and patches?? Tnx! Great video!
@UpcycleDesignLab3 жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for your question. The "a" heart is from a previous video it is glued with mod podge which holds really well but is quite stiff when it dries. I think it is actually the best for fabric and patches but I would recommend testing it to see if you like the way it finishes on your particular fabric.

Whats the best glue option for Bio-Plastic fabric?
@UpcycleDesignLab Жыл бұрын
Hi Carla - I am sorry but I don't know how to answer your question. I am not familiar with Bio-platic fabrics. In my experience with plastics in general I would use the E6000 glue but it also depends on the project. If you need to smooth the glue out over a large surface e6000 is not a good choice. Hi! do you think the fabri-tac would be ok to use to seal the ends of yarn for fringe ?
@UpcycleDesignLab3 жыл бұрын
Hi thanks for your question. Sorry I am not sure how to answer your question. The glue would certainly keep the ends from fraying but it will be a little stiff and crunchy so you would probably want to test it out first.

Can Fabri-Tac be used on NFL jerseys to put patches on them? Please lmk thank you in advance
@UpcycleDesignLab3 жыл бұрын
Hi thanks for your question. My experience with Fabri-tac was that it did not hold up well after washing. So I would suggest adding a few hand stitches to the edges of the patch if you use the glue to attach the patch.
