What are some cool hidden features that you have discovered on your Mercedes Benz?

Maybe a duh! feature... BUT if you put your key in the trunk and try to close it with the trunk lid button, it will close but then pop right open. That way you can't lock your key fob in the car.

Tip of the day.... The most hidden feature of the E63 is actually in the glove box. At the top left of the glove box is a circular dial. If you cut on your AC and open the dial your glove box turns into a chiller to store snacks. I've never seen that in any other car and I stumbled upon it in mine after I had my car for 5 years. The brake hold is another feature that you rarely see in cars. You press the brake down to the floor at a light or when your car is in drive and stopped and hold will pop up on the dash and you can take your foot off the brake if you want. There are quite a few more that you will discover that I won't spoil for ya.... :). enjoy your car brother!

I think it’s a German thing. My 2010 VW Jetta also has this feature lol I hardly ever use it but it’s nice to have I guess ahahaha! 😂

How close do you have to be to let the windows down. Do you have to be right next to the car, or could I Do it from the house. My 2010 E350 I had to be super close to get the windows to roll down.

Since you have keyless go, you can close all windows by just touching the square on the door handle. Just keep your finger on it till its done.

Guess the first feature that surprised me was the fact that after pulling in to park in the garage ( or anywhere) all I had to do was open the driver's door and the trans would shift itself into park! Cool beans...

Yeah, my discovery of this feature wasn't ideal LOL. I stopped, opened driver door real quick to pour water out and went to take off and didn't realize car had changed to park. 😂

I've just bought a 2010 W212 E63 AMG 6.2 saloon and I like how responsive it is with the gears in S (sport) but every time I turn off the engine it defaults back to C (comfort) where the car starts off in 2nd gear instead of 1st, How can I set the default for the gears to just stay in the first sport setting ?? (not sport+ or other modes) as I find it a real pain having to swap from comfort to sport every time I stop and start - Any hidden menus to keep the sport gear box setting as the default ??? Other then this, its a great car and I'm very happy with it !!!

what i would do, is set how you want the car in your amg button. and everytime you turn your car on, just press the amg button.

to select your personal vehicle settings, you just twist the dial over to whichever drive mode youd like, then stiffness, and once its how you want it. you hold down the amg button and it will remember your personal settings!

@@xac3gamingx627 Thanks ! 👍 I read in the Owner's manual that when set to Sport, Sport+ Manual and Race Start mode when the engine is turned off and back on again it automatically defaults back to the Comfort setting which is a bit of a bummer as my previous CLS63 always stayed in the Sport setting for it to start in 1st gear which seems to eliminate the judder you get when the car is in the Comfort mode and the car starts off in 2nd gear...

Great video. Question, when your car is at full temp sat in traffic and in comfort mode do you sometimes get a judder from the gearbox when setting off?

Actually, I have gotten that in comfort mode before. It started off not really bad then got worse. Come to find out I have a small cracked in my valve cover. However, I do get it every now and then. Per my scanner I still have a small leak somewhere. Been trying to find out where... It doesn’t seem like transmission through.
