That passenger side, middle sub-frame mount bolt is very common on this chassis. Same happened to me on mine last October. Head snapped off, allowing me to drop the sub-frame still but it took about 30 minutes of heat around the area it's bolted in with lots of penetrating oil for 24hrs before heat. Had to get a 7lb hammer and beat inside of the motor mount pocket to beat the frame off of the leftover bolt. After the frame dropped, I was able to twist out the bolt with a good set of channel lock plier with sharp teeth. So much heat that it was smoking and from someone walking past, they would think the car was on fire. I would recommend buying new bolts when you reassemble it though. I understand they are steel, but they are also a TTY bolt.

If you watch my newer videos I am well past this but I actually had to drill my out due to it rusting through the whole subframe barrel, the drill only did so much so I just cut the subframe out and stole one from my buddies donor car lol. I also did get new hardware from bmw, I have a shop account but those bolts were still outrageously expensive for some steel bolts, it hurt to buy 😂

Most bolts on these cars are one use unfortunately, or made from Aluminium, had my oil pan bolt snapped because I reused them🤕 trilled it out and welded a 10mm nut onto a bolt remove and managed to get the bolt out fairly easy, you might have this issue again so maybe give that a try in future

Thanks for the comment! The subframe bolts on these unfortunately are hardened steel making them extremely hard to drill through or cut even with a $600 set of carbide bits, in the case I ended up cutting the subframe out as I was able to grab one from one of my parts cars.
