To be fair, that big plastic engine cover in the engine bay is actually necessary, since it's part of the intake system. The engine in the E92 M3 (and E39 M5, and E60 M5) has individual throttle bodies under that plastic plenum, it's a pretty rad feature and it makes for some excellent throttle response.

1. Not an automatic. It’s a Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) 2. M button doesn’t “transform” the car. It increases throttle response. You can also change the settings to your liking. 3. Ultimate driving MACHINE, not experience.

This car in stick is so much better than the auto. Probably my favorite M car (I work at BMW so I drive them all) out there. Banging gears at 8400 RPM is amazing. The sound is incredible and power is always there. I would highly recommend you find one of these in a 6 speed and drive that. Only thing I don't like about this car is the size and weight, but that can really be said about any modern M car aside from the M2.

cutthroat795 Service actually. And a lot of the time it's part of my job. If a customer comes in for service, it needs to be confirmed that whatever issue is gone. This can require a test drive and a hard shakedown in some cases. I'm doing my job. And if you're going to preach to me, do so to all of the other employees at the dealer touching the vehicles. Techs included. At one point one had tried to drift an M3 around a corner and did 14 grand in damage to it. Not to mention that an E92 is hardly the most valuable car I've ever driven.

Oh for the weight and size it handles incredibly well. And I'm sure it could easily outmaneuver cars below its weight class in the right hands, and HP and torque is plenty enough for the size. But at least to me, it does still feel like a little bit too much to toss around. Just my 2 cents, more seat time might even change my mind on that

The ZCP wheels are far better. The sedan (E90) has better looking bumpers and a far better profile. The engine is not all plastic for show; that is the intake plenum for the eight ITBs. This is such a great generation for M cars.

Sorry David, but saying it's an auto trans isn't doing it any justice. It's a DCT transmission, huge difference. As far as never seeing a reason to change out the coilovers, you can buy EDC compatible coilovers that'll do the same thing but perform way better.

Ah yes, the S65, the torqueless wonder. Owned one for less than a year. The car handles wonderfully, and is very comfortable, and sounds fantastic...but to enjoy this car, you're constantly exceeding the speed limit because there's no low end torque. Only buy this car if you want a car to track (that you're ACTUALLY going to track) that's also a comfy dd. For street only, it's gutless. Oh, and I really like your channel, but you need to research your cars more. The "auto" is fast bc it's a dual clutch...not sure you really highlighted that. Also, that's not just plastic in the engine bay, it's the plenum cover. The airbox is so big and well designed that they had to bulge the hood to accommodate.

Everything in the engine bay is functional, its not at all one of the covers you see in modern cars these days... the plastic up top is the intake plenum, 100% functional. To the right, the airbox, also 100% functional. You lost me at that point dudeinblue, tisk tisk to YOU

I worked for a BMW dealership, and all the techs wanted one. We never had one come into the shop for anything other than normal maintenance. Even our most anal tech, who hated every BMW, said the E92 M3 was one of the best cars made. They really are amazing, and buy one if you have the chance. They’re worth it. They’ll only increase in price.

Cars now are so fast and capable that I believe that there will be a huge shift towards more "raw" cars like this. I would rather go 0-60 in 5 seconds with a huge smile on my face from an incredible sound than do it in 3 seconds in a numb, silent, emotionless car. I would take this car over a new M3 for sure.

Niko Makras I'm not sure how the copyright stuff works and all that when it comes to making videos. I'm no KZbinr myself. But I've seen quite a few channels constantly using nice rock music, other using Epic classic music (Epic is a genre inside classical music by the way. It confused me as well in the beginning) and other just much more exciting electronic music. A few of those songs were from popular bands and musicians. But the video creators mentioned the artists in the description and the video couldn't be saved due to the music being copyrighted and all that. I don't know if this is all one needs to do, but it sure makes a video allot nicer and more memorable.

The only E92 I have driven was the 335is which is as close as you can get to the M3 without getting to the M3. I loved it though, and I am sure I would have loved the M3 as well! Nothing wrong with a naturally aspirated V8 revving that high!

The engine bay plastics are for air. The engine cover is sealed for airflow. The air intake system is in of itself an impressive piece of German engineering. Just FYI. They got the cooling systems right on it for sure.
