I'd like to see both the college basketball game and NBA Live come back, I think it would be interesting to be able to transfer your college players to NBA Live , I wouldn't mind if you create a player in college, and then when NBA Live came out be able to go pro, Having to build your skills in college maybe you start as a 50- 60 in college and build yourself up, and your draft stock, If I had the money and was better at coding, I'd have a game like this called College to Pro

I don't understand why people question EA's licensing deal or if they're working on a game or not. It's pretty simple if you understand the business. First off, I don't work for any of these companies. But the way sports game licensing deals work is pretty simple. I think the deals for NBA Live and 2k before 2012 were one or two-year deals. It was a partnership deal with EA, 2k, and other companies I believe. Then every year the league would work out an extension to the deal. Then the deal in 2012 I think was a 7 year deal ending with NBA Live 18 and NBA 2k18. 2k18 is one of the worst 2k games ever but at the time it was the best-selling 2k of all time. So the New deal started in 2019 and 2k and EA both dropped games that year but EA canceled Live 20 after not being able to regain ground on 2k. So I imagine they still have at least 2 to 4 years left on that 2019 deal and they do still have their mobile game. Side note, part of the reason Live 20 got canceled is because EA wanted to make it free to play and the NBA gets a percentage of the unit sales and wouldn't go for that. Similar to how 2k discounted all of their 2k5 sports titles that year and the NFL got mad and gave the exclusive rights to EA and Madden. So basically, the NBA licensing deal is for so much up front and 10% to 15% of each unit sold. So if they want to go free to play like a live service game I imagine that the NBA will ask for so much up front and a percentage of the online sales. Live service games and microtransactions have changed the way these deals will work in the future. I think EA is either waiting out this current deal or they will release another NBA Live in the next couple of years before the current deal ends. I have no facts on any of this, it just seems most likely.

I first thought like this too, but in EA games there is also a lot of things that you have to pay for, like FUT in the Fifa games. I don't own a console, but if you want to be good you have to pay a lot or play thousands of hours. But competition is always good for the costumer of course.

I miss the competition, I use to buy both games, and do a dynasty/ my league, for one game, I'd pick an underdog in the Eastern Conference, and then in the other game I'd go in the Western Conference. Sometimes I wish I could create a third company and hire people who know the movements of the NBA Players , and other features, I wouldn't mind trying to work on dynasty part, I have an idea for a feature called draft list, basically to understand kind of what I'm talking about, go to Wikipedia and type in for example 2001 NBA Draft or any draft year to get an idea, I would add category play style and NBA comparison of the players drafted
