This makes me miss my '88 GL-10 more and more. It's just getting harder and harder to keep 'em running. I hope your RX stays on the road.

Only found out today that the EA82 MPFI in my 85 Vortex XT needs a refresh/rebuild. So motivating. Great videos 👍

Great freaking video. I recently bought an Leone Turbo Courpe and trust me, I will be watching this video over and over and over ... and over again when I finally get to rebuilding the engine. I can't wait for the next video.

Wow, I owned one of these an 85 from 98 until 2005, pretty rare haven't seen another one since. Still have the spare turbo laying around somewhere

Neat! Thanks for these vids, they sure have helped me a bit with my EA82T "rebuild". I'll be uploading vids for that in the coming weeks. Man you had a rough time with this sucker though!

You released this the day I get back to working on my 2-door 87, these videos have so much good information for working on the EA82, and where stuff is located on the engine with actual HD video. The resources for these cars are limited and dwindling, so thank you for taking the time to put the info out there.

Glad to see you back I hope to see a proper ea built RX as the majority of builds are ej I like them more than EJs as they are more solid in my opinion as well as the carb sound is just perfect but they eat spark plugs

You can really feel, how much effort you are putting into it. I can hardly imagine how much more effort it is to film, cut, edit and upload the video on top, but it sure is worth it! It´s really enjoyable and I am looking forward to the next video, keep it up!
@jaredrusk10532 жыл бұрын
This edit has been on my desktop for a year and the footage is almost 4 years old. Man is it hard to make a video about your mistakes and indecisions. Debated leaving the EJ sequence out entirely, debated the order of events, debated the length of the video. This is also a period in the footage in which I'd pretty much just been dumped lol I'm just glad its done and I'm on to the next one 🤞

That's good to hear! I always thought the Alcyone style hood louvre would look wicked on the RX. I actually found a TD04 in the garbage I might try to run 😂

I’m confused on the timing. I’ve watched two videos. Yours that says set it to TDC then rotate it 360 degrees on the drivers side and then put the passenger belt on. Another video said to get the pistons even have the drivers side up like yours put the belt on then move the crank 180 degrees,after that put the passenger side belt on. I’m simply confused on how to time my motor any one know which one is right? Mine is also naturally aspirated.
@jaredrusk1053 Жыл бұрын
I believe it's 360 degrees at the crank, 180 at the DS cam shaft. I will do it more in depth in a future vid!
