Rebuilding a Forgotten Rally Legend - Subaru RX Build Ep. 9

In this one Jared finally gets the RX running only to find that it needs another rebuild. He takes it down to the block, inside the engine bay this time, and fixes a bad valves and some other minor things. Finally, she goes!

Maaan,I almost cried at the end of the video. I have a lot of admiration for you to take care of rebuilding the engine like this. There is no better sight than when you drive for the first time on something that you have put so much love into. I also have a Leone ea82T coupé and in a few days the engine is going to be fixed. you make amazing videos. I love how you post retro ads and rally shots. good luck man !!

I'm doing up an old 1984 Subaru Wagon in Australia. I have no clue how you are able to get parts for that engine. I'm going to have to EJ swap my wagon! I really enjoy the videos. It is good to see a weird old car getting some love

Bruh, I can't wait to get my 87' RX up and running. I got to repair some of the rust rot and got to take the engine out, disassemble it, and replace/fix anything that's messed up on it. Where did you get the manual to disassemble and reassemble it

I've got a Chilton's Subaru '85-'96 repair manual. Also have a Haynes Subaru '80-'94. Both are good. Check eBay if not on Amazon. You got this bro! Stoked for you!

@@jaredrusk1053 I just found a couple on thriftbooks. They're gonna arrive soon, so hopefully they're in good condition. I got both of them for like $15 I hope I'll be able to do this without fucking the car or myself up in the process. At least the guy who sold me the car has a few GLs and RXs. So then I'll be able to buy a few parts from him that I'll need.
