Absolutely stunning what you've been able to do with this Connie. I'm glad you guys were able to find the necessary backing to bring it to such a glorious state. I wish I could see this aircraft up at Oshkosh this year. keep up the Good Work!

There has never been another aircraft as beautiful as the Connie ever built. My very first trip on an airplane was on a connie (1956), which lead to qualifying for a pilot license in my 20's. Thank You Lockheed!

My father served with the 4:15 4:16 PAANG 193rd SOG In Highspire PA. They flew the EC121in those days. They flew touch and goes in Highspire and would fly over our neighborhood for hours while they were training. My dad loved that old bird. I joined the USAF because of him. I loved every minute of it. I miss it every day and I don't think that will ever go away

I grew up outside of Ft Rucker and remember when this plane first arrived at the Army Aviation Museum. Both my parents worked at Rucker and my fathers office was only a few blocks from the Museum. I crawled all over this plane after it arrived. Before they eventually plexiglassed the cockpit from public access. There are videos on YT of when they eventually flew it out of the airfield it was at.

I'm old enough to remember these in regular passenger service. My Dad was a aircraft fan and we frequently visited a place where other fans parked to watch the comings and goings of air traffic at Philadelphia International Airport in the fifties into the sixties. We saw many Connies during that time as they were so easily identified. Seeing this plane today in this condition, in the air is a big deal to all that remember them. Thanks to all involved!

I was at Rucker for OH-6 IP/Gunnery training when the plane first landed at Rucker. It was quite a thrill to see it on final with the Bataan logo on the side. For some reason I've forgotten I wasn't able to get a walk through. I did get another look at it of it from the air at a distance, but without the sound of those big engines, it wasn't the same thrill.

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!!! She really cleans up well. I flew on a MATS Connie as an Air Force brat, coming home with Dad and family from Rhein-Main Air Base in the 50's. Connie wins the beauty contest hands down. We have a Super Connie in TWA colors, here in Kansas City , MO, but the last I heard, she needs a good engine replacement to get back in the air.🥲🥲🥲

I actually had a very small part in this. In the early to mid 90's I was a weekend warrior at Chino Planes of Fame and while this was still in Alabama, they sent pieces of the tail skin to be remade and being I was a sheet metal worker they gave them to me. I took them to my shop and during a week I made exact copies of the aluminum pieces, and they were shipped back to Alabama and installed. I still go to Chino Airport and to the museum often (it's only 3 miles away from my house.

I remember seeing and hearing the Constellations flying above my house as I lived approx. 17 miles from BWI when it was known as Friendship Airport.
