Dear Albert Kim, nice tutorial, looked all over the internet for the wiring. Also watched your footage, looks fine to me. I have the eachine VR 2D pro, witch has the same dvd recorder build in. I was looking for a way to get audio out to a microphone. Seeing this it should be a simple fix, connect to the audio of the receiver and the ground. With your research this would be the thirst from the right being the ground and the third from the right the audio. Will try, thanks for posting!

Albert, getting hot melt glue off of anything is VERY easy. Put a few drops of ethyl alcohol (hardware store denatured alcohol) on the glue and it will let loose of whatever it is stuck to. I tried it and it works great. It doesn't cause it to get sticky or dissolve it, it just breaks the bond. Thanks for all your helpful videos. I have seen most of them.
@creativeguy11385 жыл бұрын
Out of all the videos I've seen of people doing this, you are the only one that has used a step up regulator. I wonder if other people had issues without it.
@drwald90904 жыл бұрын
they don´t ;-) - the ProDVR works internaly with 3.3-3.7v just like the most MC stuff. Putting in a step up - will drain your battery and the ProDVRs internal voltage regulator steps the 5v down again to 3.3-3.7v.

This is way cool! You are a freaking amazing the way you figured out where to connect the wires. These items will be in my next Banggood order for sure! From reading comments below, it sounds like the power converter is not needed, GreaT

Hi. Sorry for my English. Excellent video to connect a video output in the EV800. I could say if you can connect to that screen video input? Thank you.
@robertanderson30588 жыл бұрын
Hi Albert, Well I did it. Few mistakes but finally results.On the back of the board you can cut the trace and use your output on the other side of the trace.After pulling the cover off the receiver and tracing the video I found which trace to cut . I will send a picture of which trace it is so no one else will have to pull the cover off. And all you would have to do is cut the trace solder your output wire from the dvr to the other side .All the other wires stay the same. 5 min job.For sound just leave it really don't need it for the goggles playback.

+Robert Anderson Cool... How's the latency?
@robertanderson30588 жыл бұрын
Not noticeable.I would think there would be some but can't see it.Trying to add pictures but my phone is not cooperating .At&T is giving me fits with pictures sometimes they work sometimes they don't.Basically its the long trace on the bottom right corner behind the receiver. You can ohm it to the top output video second from the right. I went up about half inch ascribed the line to open it and soldered the output dvr above the break. Thats it.

Great Video. Would it also be possible to run the sound and video straight out of the receiver to the dvr and then the output of the dvr back to the board where the rec out was. Then you could see the menu of the dvr and also play back on the goggles.

on the LD5800D there is a 5V regulator already at the screen driver, isn't it part of this board also? if not to reduce video noise you could use a cheap liner regulator IC instead of a stepper.

So what linear voltage regulator can step voltage up? Oh yeah none. If you feed a higher voltage (7.4 or greater) than sure use an old school lm305 with a heat sink and melt the plastic of the goggles with the waste heat.

Really good video and easy to follow. I have done the same MOD to my EV800 ,a problem I found was the video would just chop and cut ,go black. I found the cause to be DWRDR (wide dynamic range) setting (on) my RunCam Swift .switched off no problem clean and clear screen. My set up is pal 50hz ,did not make any difference if using internal battery, step up or separate 1s lipo on dvr? I have not had time to try this with another CCD or CMOs board camera, I just thought if you or any else has had this issue?

This is a pretty awesome mod video. Two questions..... 1- Is it possible to mod this into diversity? 2- Is there enough room inside to put a bigger 1s battery or a 2s with a stepdown?
@AlbertKimTV8 жыл бұрын
Thanks! 1. Diversity not likely. The receiver is hardwired into the board. Only way is if they came out with a board with two receivers and a diversity switcher. 2. Yes, there's a little bit more room but not that much. You'll need to get something that fits that space pretty perfectly.

I didn't try it. I tried it with a couple different monitors when I was doing the setup and I could not get them to work with this DVR. Seems a little less, but I've never had it die on me while flying. The only issue is the battery level meter is worthless. It pretty much drops to zero as soon as you take it off the charger. My estimate is an hour to 1.5 hours. I also always turn my goggles off in between flights.

im about to install the prodvr on to a kds kylin. Did you just use trial and error to find out which was video and ground? I used a multimeter to find out which is +/- as well as voltages of the +. here is a link to a pic for reference: www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost.php?p=35262150&postcount=319 Im guessing the .48 and 1.14V are the audio and ground... does this sound right to you?

+dqDronz I tuned it to a vTX transmitting a video and audio signal. When the receiver gets a signal you see the voltages move around for those two. The others did not move around. I had to guess that video would be next to power and I turned out to be right. I assumed this because a lot of other receivers are similarly configured.
