Eachine Goggles Two Review

I'm not too crazy about the Eachine Goggles Two only because there are others that or just as good or better at a lower price. For some the HDMI feature will make it worth the money. Here is what I think.

I will miss you so much my brother! when I got started in fpv I didn't know a thing. I watched tons of videos but none really helped. Until I met projectbluefalcon. You showed me how to do things I never imagined doing. Not only how to build a multirotor but how to repair all my parts. The first video I felt like I found the one friend who pushed me to learn and inspired me to never give up. you answered my questions, even made a video for me! You were such a humble guy! Sure wish I could have flown with ya in Muncie Indiana! Well I know you're up there looking at us! Maybe when we all get to heaven we can fly a pack! I will miss you! Gone but not forgotten!

JC was my goto for anything i needed to know or learn in this hobby. ive spent better than 100 hours i bet watching his vids, learning all i could from him. ive never been so sad, to loose someone i only realy knew from his youtube channel. i always hoped i could meet him in real life someday, maybe rip a pack with him. im not sure i would have built my 1st drone without him. he had one of the most informative and educational videos on the web. its amazing the difference just one person can make. my heart goes out to everyone that knew him, his family and friends. with the help of Stu, Joshua and JC, ive been able to learn things in electronics and building that without these people, i dont think i would ever have known. im so sorry u guys. RIP JC, we love u man

Thanks for giving us a frank and honest review. Personally I prefer more critical reviews over the 'glittering' ones, which play down or gloss over defects. It's refreshing to watch a product taken apart and defects laid bear and especially when it's from someone who actually has a clue!

So sad.....😢! To his family and especially his brother and fellow pilot. Cant even imagine the pain and hurt for you. I only knew him thru his channel and im broken up about it! i didnt know him personally but his soft spoken demeanor and super informative videos helped me and countless other's around the globe! The way he served our great country, the fact the he had a patreon for only 5 minutes was typical JC lol! He was selfless and all about putting others first!!! He loved to fly and now he lives in the sky....RIP!

I have the same problem with mine horrible reception my $50 goggles have much better reception. also when the image starts to get break up the picture rolls like on an old school projector the image slightly ticks up its unflyable for me

I would love if you could do a review of the Quanum Cyclops V2's. They don't have as many features as other cheap box goggles but they seem to do the job very very well The image quality looks very impressive in other videos and even without diversity, the reception seems to be great. Please, give them a try

These goggles are good i own a pair myself. At first i didn't like the fact that they didn't have dvr and i've always thought box style goggles looked goofy, but there's a way you can mod these to get dvr and i'll be doing that soon. Oh and i don't have that diversity issue, it works perfectly fine on mine. Over time i grew to like them, the field of view is huge so there really immersive, its 1080p, you can change the aspect ratio, it has an AV input, a wide range of settings, HDMI and diversity (if yours works). The only gripe i really have for it now is how big it is. One good set of goggles i saw where the aomway commander v2's there around 300 to 350 and are a great competitor for the fatshark hd3's and they have everything.

I've had my goggles two for about 3 months now. My diversity seems to not work as well. My audio out jack broke off of the circuit board and ripped the solder pads off. I really like the fit (super light) but I am the laughing stock to my friends who have fatsharks since it looks like I have a shoebox on my head. I would love a set of goggle style glasses but they just don't work well with my near sightedness. anyone have reccomendations on the best box style diversity goggles?

JC it might be your goggles being defective. I have a goggles two and I bought it pretty early when they came out. Mine most definitively work with diversity. I love mine but there are two drawbacks. First, they are pretty warm when wearing them and it's hot out. Second, they are very bulky to carry which is really only a problem for me when flying and bringing drones along.

Could you show us a how to video on adding HDMI to cheep goggles? I have a set of cheep cyclops goggles that I bought to use as ride a longs, an would like to mod for simulator. Bruce did a review, and said it would be easy. He never did the mod video. The others out there is not English or I can't follow.. Thanks

about the only way to do it is going to be to get a HDMI to composite video converter, and wire it in similar to how you would a DVR. That being said, it's going to look horrible. The main benefit to the goggles two is that they actually have a 1080p HD screen instead of the 800x480 ones used in pretty much every other inexpensive box goggle out there.

A measured antennas and that patch array is mismatched. It's tuned somewhere at 7 GHz. So it hasn't any gain. Another problem is linear polarization of patch array, so you have another -3dB of polarization mismatch.

They're still new and there is only one firmware that supports F7. When Betaflight 3.2.0 is officially released there will be two firmwares. It's just going to take some time.

Did you try putting another high gain antenna on these goggles that you know works? the directional antenna that comes with those goggles is garbage and doesn't work. so it could be that the diversity wasn't working because of the bad directional antenna.
