I would actually say it's the father of motion picture as we know it nowadays. Clearly the man in the movie said it with no knowing at all about the truth origin of photography or because he's American and well...you know...Americans think they invented and discovered everything.

Student grade dreck. Awful script, terrible acting. Decent cinematography and if that's enough to hold your interest, have at it.
