I absolutely love my Eagle Eye 9. I'm in the Louisiana Delta and have used it for Crappie, Bass, Speckled trout, and Redfish. Well worth the money.

@stephenrusso3696 I sometimes fish Henderson and Lake verrett as well. I caught a bunch of fish on my last trip a few weeks ago. Here is what I've done to find success with the Eagle Eye 9 unit. 1.) I always manually adjust my depth range. If I'm fishing 8ft of water my unit is manually set to 10 ft depth , 12 ft of water its manually set to 15 ft so on and so forth. This allows for maximum screen usage giving better detail of what I'm looking at. 2.) When scanning using my transducer hand pole and trollig motor im moving, swinging the transducer back and forth looking for brush piles and fish. I keep my unit set to 50 or 55 ft distance while trolling at 1 to 1.5 mph and scanning. 3.) Once I find a Spot. I'll use my spot lock to position my boat and slowly move closer in 5 to 10ft increments towards the area looking for any blobs separating from the brush or structure. 4.) Keeping the structure between 25 and 35 ft at the correct manual bottom depth will give you the maximum amount of detail with this unit after structure is located. At that range is where I start fishing and I'm able to see my lure, fish, and how they react to my lure. Always keep the lure above the crappie and if they seem interested, slowly pull the lure away from them. This usually works to trigger them to react. This is what I find that works best for me.

@@ronaldpierre7754 are you using a slip cork or tight lining from that distance. I am having trouble with tight lining at any sort of distance as the jig drops so fast. Also, I am seeing fish all over but not sure what is a sacalait versus catfish / gar. Like how big are the blobs
@ronaldpierre775417 күн бұрын
@ I mainly use a tight line presentation, but have had success with the slip cork on live scope. If the lure is falling too fast lighten up on the split shot. I've found that the split shot rig or a 1/16 oz jig gives pretty good returns on the unit, the bigger the bait the better the return. I would try different lures to see which one works best for returns on your unit. Identifying crappie versus other fish... Crappie are usually bunched up in brush or structure in schools. They appear to be more round and more stationary than other fish. They glow when positioned in brush compared to the cover itself. Blue gill and bream are usually positioned just off of the main structure with smaller dots lined up on the bottom. They are very quick acting targets and love following lures. Bass are usually in more of a tighter school with good individual returns per fish and are likely moving a lot working in a school looking for baitfish. Gar are usually very pronounced returns that are long and rough looking. They usually are positioned over cover and circle the area. I believe that i have pictures from my unit on my phone of what crappie and bream look like in structure or brush.

Nice demo. Is the screen easy to see in sunlight? I am thinking about ordering one.
@ksfishingadventures21 күн бұрын
@@jdnotariano yes it has the new ips screen you can see it at any angle with polarized sunglasses unlike my elite ti2. This unit is a good bang for your buck but I will eventually go active target 2 or live scope as the transducer covers more area.

@ thank you! I found one for $900 shipped I’m about to order. Can I ask what model Lund boat that is? That would be perfect for my style of fishing.

@@phoenixw2w it’s alright just because I live down the road. But during boating season it’s packed with kayakers, wake boats, and most of the lake is no wake except the small section by the dam. The lake is a bit overfished as well
