Having children should and does change a person, (if they're otherwise normal) Its not a "prerequisite", it is a "catalyst" for sensitivity. Myself, I was never abusive of others even before I had kids, especially towards women. But before becoming fathers, "many" (certainly not all) guys can be essentially selfish and insensitive. Then after becoming fathers, they discover a new and better character within themselves. That's why it's so ugly when a father of children heaps abuse on a woman like that. It reveals an egregious moral fault in their character, like they never grew up. Like a president who makes fun of a handicapped person, it's beyond awkward, it's reprehensible.

"Cancelled" is such a dumb word - for the adults in the room it's called repercussions for your actions. And this statement from the head of the company makes it obvious that Caldwell was only fired because of the social media backlash (so essentially, you "canceled" him, while calling out how bad cancel culture is). People make mistakes but when a man works for a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion firm...and he calls someone an ugly c&*^, she tells him to look in a mirror he responds with, "I'm a man, I'm allowed to be ugly, you're a woman" among other things that can be seen on the video being shown on other channels.... as a Leader of an Equity firm I would expect your answer to stop after "it's unacceptable" . Or does equity only apply to black, male Americans and not women? I can't imagine what this couple (that has attended games in 20 other stadiums without incident) said that prompted this reaction, perhaps one or two of the many Eagles fans around them could stand up now and let people know what awful comments preceded this?

LOL That second half of the piece. The statements about the guy by the former employer screams apologist behavior, akin to Boston Bomber levels. "He's a good boy and would never hurt anyone!" Like he literally says it's "unacceptable" then gives a statement saying it should be acceptable by society. That people shouldn't be made to suffer consequences for their UNWARRANTED stupidity. Nah man, unnecessary hateful behavior should be put through the wringer. Once that's done though, and the person has clearly suffered consequences for it (e.g. named and fired from job), then all right... we're good to go. He can begin life anew, much like a criminal being released from prison. We all suffer the fallout of our actions through the consequences, even before the internet and cancel culture. A half hearted apology followed by an excuse or a defense of what he did, is no apology at all. Yes, people are entitled to some grace, they are also entitled to some consequences for their behaviors. Without the consequences we do not learn or grow. Not as people and not as a society as a whole. ♾ Just some insight, any man who chooses to hyperfocus on a female for insults and aggression are expressing a desire for someone whom the can't have and they know it and it makes them mad. That man should come with a big red warning flag waving above his head. His issues go much deeper than this incident or what he said. It shows what is within him, what he is capable of even in a crowd of people with her boyfriend standing right next to her. My heart goes out to anyone who is vulnerable and alone with him. That includes his pets.
