Lifelong Eagles fan here, 80s kid, fortunate to have gotten to watch Dawk’s entire career. Never got to fulfill my dream of seeing a home game with him and Westbrook on the field. I’m not a religious person, but I absolutely admire the passion, dedication, and faith he’s carried through his life. Not only a GREAT player, but a GREAT person!

Lifelong bucs fan here. Watching Dawks all those years I had nothing but respect for him. He was the baddest dude in the 2000’s. My favorite matchup was always the Bucs/Eagles, especially in the post season. That was my starting point of knowing about B.D. After this podcast I have so much damn respect for that man. This was a great podcast, Dawkins was and is still my favorite Eagles of all time. His pre-game speeches were legendary, I still get hyped listening to them to this day. He was a pure leader for the defense all those years and gave it his all every dohgarn play. I got to meet him at a player meet and greet in 2003 when i was 15, and it felt like I met god that day. He shook everyone's hand and thanked us for being Eagles fans and supporting the team. He is truly an amazing player on the field and just as amazing of a person off the field.

One of my favorite episodes. I love how he gave God all honor and praise. And the that he found early in life his “good thing” So so glad he recognized her as that. Great show

I’m from Philadelphia. I grew up playing football, and did everything I could to play like BDawk. He is and always will be my favorite player. I had the privilege of meeting him. My brother worked at a sporting goods store where he was doing a signing. I was at practice till 8PM, which was when his signing got done. My badass older brother asked Brian to just stay a little longer so I could meet him, and he did. He waited a half an hour longer just to meet a pop Warner kid. Love you Brian, you’re my hero, and thanks for this podcast. You continue to inspire and will forever be a bird.
