I've always interpreted this as a kind of lost love song, which makes the comment about it being Alains song make more sense than it being about about Nick. I guess Jesse knows more than me though.

its clearly not about a dismissal or departure of someone in the band lol unless he is referring to nick oliveri as "my sweet" and can't sleep without him etc etc Im not sure how you could construe that, lay off the drugs man... edit.. ok I decided I wanted to re listen to this song after seeing this and the first live version I stumble across Josh starts off by saying this goes out to my buddy Nick, so what the fuck do I know
