1st play TE wide open for a touchdown. Which is predictable for a single high safety. Hurts doesn't see any of it because he doesn't read defenses he just predetermines his throw before the snap

Bruh this ain’t Madden lol concepts and routes don’t work that way. AJ is the primary WR on that play and he’s 1 on 1…The fact that AJ is a primary target on a go route despite having other open days a lot about the quality of the playbook.

thats not how that works. He's a clear out route on the opposite side of the field. There are issues with running half field reads because of this, but Jalen's not really ever expected to throw there.

I feel like Siriani doesn’t let Kellen Moore just control the offense, because he constantly says that Kellen calls the game but he wants to keep in the playbooks things they have always done. Week 1 was Kellen Moore the rest of the weeks Nick has been involved, if not then it’s just Jalen and who isn’t able to read the whole field or just wants to go with the plays he comfortable with idk either way something has to change because we got the talent we got the players but we gotta get ina rythm get it going

@@kingkobra_1945 Nah, the league caught up with our college offense, especially with Hurts making business decisions on every run so nobody is scared of him anymore. Easiest way to test who's the problem is to bench Hurts and see this offense being run by someone else. It's the safest "no commitment" way of finding out. Everybody keeps blaming Nick Sirianni, well there's no proof, not even evidence that this entire offense is his. At this point this is a baseless fan conspiracy theory. There's at least 3 different people among ex players, analysts and insiders saying this is Kellen Moore's offense dumbed down for Hurts but y'all want to believe what you want to believe. I find it interesting that y'all turned on Wentz in a blink of an eye but for some reason Hurts, who is a downgrade in terms of talent, keeps getting a pass.

There are QBs with much lesser talent and physical tools that still manage to throw the ball over the middle of the field because there are designed plays to scheme guys open a bit more. It’s a shame that our immensely talented offense will likely be wasted because of our qb’s underwhelming development as a passer. Doesn’t consistently hang in the pocket and go through progressions which in turn forces oc’s to dumb it down to half field/ one read concepts.

Excellent breakdown. Hurts is struggling badly right now, locking onto targets, audibling out of play calls to what he’s comfortable doing, breaking from clean pockets. There is basically no PA or motion, staples that Siri and Moore love. One thing of note I’ve noticed is how much he’s struggling getting the play set at the line, running the clock down to about 5 seconds before he can set…even in hurry up. Giving him block scheme calls was a terrible idea. This game, if i recall correctly they ran 2 PA passes, both were successful and both from the pistol? We are at the point with him that it’s pretty safe to say the coaches aren’t saying ‘well that worked, let’s not run it again’. He’s not capable of reading defenses, throwing on time timing throws and doesn’t have the arm to be a gun slinger to make up for his inability to throw with timing. He’s a flawed QB who has one of the best offensives in the league around him and isn’t even capable of being a game manager.

The Eagles coaching staff and Jane Hurts are group of folks who are unable to intuitively understand the nature of their own team and issues. I've never seen anything like it before. Hurts is absolutely part of the problem because of his limitations field vision/field processing abilities and personla preferences. The OL is the most important asset they have along with Barkley. I just wish that someone wud teach Jalen how to run a more modern offense. You have to believe that with Kevin O'connell or Ben Johnson(or any of the other high level coordinators) as the OC the offense wud be way better and Jalen wud be better. I really like that they are good against man coverage cuz Jalen can just throw to AJ or Davonte, whoever is on the man route of the two; and beating man wins in the playoffs unless someone is good enough at zone to only run that but the offense is just too inconsistent and easy to read without any creativity.

Eagles captured lightning in a bottle for about a season and a half, Nick Bosa and the 49ers defense unscrewed the lid on that bottle last season and it's never been the same because monkey see, monkey do. Hurts is being baited into poor decisions every single game now that his tendencies and habits are well understood, and he has a no trade clause so Eagles really are forced to just try and manage the status quo and hope talent wins out, which is a terrible bet to take if you know the NFL at all. While I think it's cool the Eagles are a player-friendly organization, it's a bit of a disservice to give certain players extra privileges and less preparation like skipping preseason and letting certain guys like Haason Reddick go rogue and try to selfishly stat pad for a chance at a pay day with another team in the offseason. Team has it's priorities all messed up, guys are still being rewarded and treated like champions even though they lost the SB and it was 2 seasons ago. That's the identity crisis/dysfunction. Thanks for reading. You can safely take the Eagles < 24 pts every game this season and I bet you will turn a healthy profit.

@@methylphosphatePOET He had a 58% vs GB and 60%/64% vs the last 2 teams where are you getting 70% from? That’s a huge difference in completions, do some research before making comments. I really really like Jalen I don’t think he’s the problem but something is missing from our offense. We are a middle of the road team at best this year and he’s going to struggle vs top 10 teams unless we switch up this vanilla/predictable system. Btw he’s had a QBR 41/53/53 that’s not good at all. Completions mean nothing if you are throwing 5 yard outs but still get no where, try me again with a useless stat.

They need to add play-action from the center more. 95% of their runs are i/s zone and it is highly predictable. Most of the time it yields three yards, or maybe five. Linebackers see it coming and immediately drop into their zone drops. Safeties have no intimidation by it, and stay over the top and cause Jalen's windows to be much tighter than needed. With such a dominant line, why they don't take advantage of run blocking from under center is incredulous. Moreover, you arguably have the best running back in the game and they make it hard for them. That's decided at install!! That's philosophy!!! (Sirianni/Howie). Time to get someone like Ben Johnson that will open this offense up before all of them get too old and it will be a shame because the Eagles finally have great offensive weapons at one time.

Now the NFL is getting back to running the ball in the Eagles are pass happy .They have top 5 and one of the heaviest OL. Run the freaking ball and set up the past . Get them out of the zone and blitzes . We won a SB vs Brady with Nick Foles , C´mon man

Hurts' skills can work in college, not in the NFL. Undersized quarterbacks who don't have elite arms and have slow read and reaction skills last only a short time in the NFL. Roseman made a colossal mistake, resigning him two years before he had to, based on one good year.

This just proves that Jeff Stoutland is great and an above average rookie can come in and do what Hurts does because there’s not a lot of complexity to what he’s comfortable doing. If I am the owner I am pissed off 51 mil a year for a QB who feels comfortable with and only wants to run a basic scheme. He only reads half the field he rarely scans his eyes back to the other side of the field. I know this has to be frustrating to his teammates. Jalen Hurts is a fraud the eye in the sky doesn’t lie. He’s not that irreplaceable type of player that should eat up 50 mil in cap space. He plays to the level of a high end backup to average NFL starter. He is not a franchise QB, his anticipation and pocket presence are below average. He is a liability on offense, he’s not dynamic at passing or even running anymore. 2022 was his career year.

@@kingkobra_1945 you do understand that was a simplified offense as well? Heavy RPO game which is still college style offense. Why did they do it? Jalen has limitations. What happened in 2023 with essentially the same style once people had tape on the Eagles? What we do know is Nick didn’t hire his coordinators. The Owner & GM are trying to force square pegs into round holes. Guess who the fall guy will be? This is Doug Pederson 2.0.

Its interesting to me that the GREAT Matt Stafford is having a HOF year without Puka and Cupp. He has 3 TDs and that's it!!! The magician who knows how to read defenses as everyone who comes in here and proclaims that Hurts cant read a freaking defense...really astounds me, since , he hasn't thrown 50 picks in a season. why can't throw great Stafford throw and win more??? I like Stafford too. The oversimplification of how he cant read a defense is tiring to me. I see week after week some dude that wide open and a QB missed him. Sheesh. Yall never see any other QB miss a wide open person. They got 3 to 4 seconds to go through 4 reads. you really think u can do this??? I know I can't.

Looking at this Jalen is not elite as far as seeing the field. He does not trust the play calls. He holds the ball to long, a lot of these plays have an open man he just doesn’t get the ball out on time. He plays big ball instead of taking what’s there and trusting the play that was called.

So a team caters their offense to the quarterback? What an amazing concept! Guess what? EVERY team designs their offense around their players most especially the quarterback. Sit down, I don’t want to shock you. But when Carson Wentz got hurt, the Eagles changed their offense to “cater” to Nick Foles! I hope that didn’t shock anyone too much.

Kurt contradicted himself. Say Hurts was really successful using the RPO with Shane and now we have got away from that this and last year. So how is this a Hurt’s offense that’s he’s comfortable with? 😂 If anyone remembers 2021 before Shane took over the offense, we was running this stagnant offense and started the season 1-4… Shane stepped in and ran the ball more and using RPO. Just address the elephant in the room and stop trying to blame a black QB. I guess after Lamar won 2 MVP’s media need another black QB to hate on because Pat passed the brown paper bag test so he’s off limits until he starts struggling. Funny how everyone blamed BJ last yea but this year Moore gets a pass because it’s Hurt’s offense 😂 wtf? In summary, eagles running a vanilla offense because Hurt’s is comfortable with it has some really racist undertones…
