It was disappointing to not win a super bowl couple years back. To not win it now or one in the next 2 or 3 seasons will be so hard to swallow. Whole team is organized in a way that it'd be messed up not to see these guys hold that trophy up at least once. I know it might not be this season because hard to win year 1 with new coaches and their systems, but anything is possible. Lets go win it all!

I get fans wanting to see the young corners out there, but this is a very young defense with almost all new starters. Vic needs SOME stability. If he can rely on a vet like Slay to lock down probably the toughest position on the field, that’s great. The young guys will get their shot. And I don’t think Bradberry will be a hinderance. I kinda wonder if they are taking a look at him at safety before they go & get Justin Simmons. I’m not sure Reed Blankenship is good enough.

Reed is plenty good enough. Go watch the first 11 games of the season when Desai was still calling his version of Vic’s scheme. He was the 6th rated safety in football. Top vote getter in pro bowl votes among safeties in the NFC (and he not a known name so it wasn’t popularity). He’s gonna be good if not great with Vic. It wasn’t until Matty P started calling the defense and putting him in cover 4 alignment keying the run and man covering slot WR’s from 12 yards off, that he looked bad. That’s not his game. He’ll be fine
