Great performance, beautiful reaction. I love seeing Scott's facial expressions while listening. Would you care to share what are the two other performances starting from 7:36?

The author of the lyrics, poet Nesimi, lived in the 15th century. She trained and taught in medicine, mathematics and astronomy. She developed radical rhetoric against the corruption in the religion of Islam. She expressed these discourses through her poems. She tried to explain that people are busy with formalism and therefore cannot grasp the essence of life. She traveled around the Muslim geography of the period and tried to share her ideas. It was found dangerous by sovereign governments unaccustomed to this type of reflection. If I'm not mistaken, she was beheaded and skinned by the ruler of the Mamluk state that ruled in Egypt. The Turkish people, whose hearts were wounded because of what happened to her, still commemorate her by reading her poems. In the work we listened to, the following is mentioned in summary: I do not tolerate those who discriminate on the basis of race, language and religion, and I do not expect any favors from them. I know that no good will come from a rose that blooms in fire, and I do not smell it. I do not bow to rulers who think they are the messengers of God. I don't want any favors from them. I can't expect anything from people who go down the wrong path. Whatever I need to sustain my life is provided by God. I can't expect anything from people who think they're taking it on. Nesimi criticized and stood against whatever he did not find ethical. Even though you don't know the meaning of the words, Emre's performance was able to convey this feeling to you. Thank you for your reaction. 🖐️😉

Actually, he doesn't put his hand on his nose, he keeps it close to his mouth. This allows him to find the voice, hear it and not lose control. This method is very famous among the eastern peoples, because long-winded and melodious recitations are very common in the east. Especially if you examine the Islamic culture, you will see many examples of this. People who recite the adhan, quran, ghazal or qasida put their hands on their ears and move them closer to their mouths according to the tone of the voice. It is more common to use at high pitch. I can send you samples if you're interested. Thanks for the reaction...

@@ScottLeVocalCoach Continue watching for 30 seconds from the seconds I specified, please. If you noticed, those in these examples mostly use the lower part of their palms. When they want to hear the echo of their voices, they bring their mouths close to their hands. They aim to stay in control when they hit the high notes. New generation artists like Emre Sertkaya also use the inside of their hands by modifying this old method.

Lyrics had been written by Nesimi who is one of the famous poet from Turkish literature history. They used rich ryhme while writing their poems( like at 01:58). and the fantastic way is our vocals or vocal candidates knows how was the poem written and they are always be careful to sing these lyrics. and just for extra information most of us thought that he is singing Turkish but most of the lyrics are Persian. And I strongly recommend that translate the lyrics because the meaning of poem is so deep. And one more time Thank you Scott ! I love watching your videos :)
