Let’s play over or under for our parking fines 😜 . Did you think it would cost us more or less to stay at the Casablanca parking lot for 19 months?!?
@mindiscott97493 жыл бұрын

That’s my uncle’s shop in Casablanca! He’s such a nice humble man and gives jobs to young men looking for work in the streets. A lot of his employees used to be homeless and he invested in them as long as they respect him and are honest to him and his customers. So I’m not surprised at all that they cared for you with such open arms and didn’t take advantage of you as a western person. Because a lot of people in Morocco thrive off ripping off tourists and it’s really unfortunate. Can’t wait to phone him on Tuesday and tell him you guys were at his shop! He’s going to be so upset that he charged you at all ❤️
@maimaz29103 жыл бұрын
And Casablanca or “caza” as we Moroccans call it is like the New York of the U.S.A. It can be extremely overwhelming and even locals hate living there or visiting more than a couple of days. Agadir is so much better in my opinion because you get the city life but also the beaches, desert and African jungle all in one.

Please show the beauty of diverse Morocco where landscapes change every 30 minutes. Where you can photograph palm trees in front of snowy mountains. I advise you to take the following route in spring time when the roses bloom. From Marrakesh, Ait Benhaddou over the mountains to Ouarzazate through the valley of the roses, the valley of the dates and Boumalne Dades valley and the pastel colored villages of Erfoud and Rissani. I lived there for two years. It is a Berber region. Very nice. The routes are fine to drive. Just the mountain pass from Marrakesh to Ait Benhaddou is a bit of a challenge. Enjoy Morocco! It is a magical place. I miss it so much. Oh and the food so natural and delicious. Tajine and Couscous! haha (-: Oh and the hamam in Casablanca is one of the most famous ones. It is an experience....

Off to a bit of a rough start, just being free from the COVID funk is life changing. Thanks to Kara and Nate for introducing me to your channel. You are an amazing couple, you have great content, and you, like Kara and Nate inspire me to push myself. My goal is to reach the top of Mt. Whitney in 3 years, after I am introduced to my new friend “Billie” who is my prosthetic leg. Lots of work to do, but you youngsters keep me motivated, as I am sixty-two. Thanks again for sharing your lives. Side note, my son pilots a 1000-foot container ship for Maersk and often makes stops in the Moroccan ports to transfer containers. Keep on rollin!!!

Oh man! What great memories of Morocco. That sun, it’s such a peculiar color. Really tempted to get on our car and just drive there. Absolutely love it. It’s bloody bonkers but beautiful. Enjoy it guys!! Say hi to the cats at Essaouira! ❤️

That is a culture you are not supposed to take photos in without permission. Wow, you lucked out. I left my SUV for 3 months in the US and came back to not even getting it to go forward after spending an hour just getting it open by locksmith and started with cables. Had to drive it backwards a foot or so, then forward half an inch, keep building the distances up, finally driving very slowly home with rusted squealing brakes.

Hey I hope this won't make either of you sad, but I just wanna say that you're living so vividly and I think that you're living life very beautifully. Lee would really be proud of you guys and I think that you're spending your time on this earth doing something you love, which is all anyone can ask for.

I do believe you will see the world is not what it was. With all the changes that have occurred alot of places around the globe are still VERY restricted. In many of those places it is unsafe. Do be careful as I fear you may have jumped the gun so to speak in setting back out into a very changed world. Stay safe out there and always have a plan wherever you are to bail and get back to home if the time arises.
@batterbury44773 жыл бұрын
DUDE you are so like me! I have traveled solo to many parts of the world and definitely would not be driving a big American $100k customized van! This is a very poor country and that van is a huge payday. Plus Eamon and Bec are very conspicuous - constantly filming themselves and the random people they use for content. The circus they create and the attention they draw - Really seems like asking for trouble, but that's me.
@vic22653 жыл бұрын
@@batterbury4477 I agree completely. Most that do not have to travel do not see the changes that have occurred. The world is a far more dangerous place now and like you said making yourself stand out will draw those less fortunate to your wealth. Make no mistake they will attempt to take what you have if you are not very vigilant. This is occurring even in countries that are not economically challenged. I really hate to say this but you really cannot trust everyone you come across and you must be ever vigilant they want what you have.

What u said about going back to ur old van feeling like living in a past life. I totally get that, whenever I think of my life before covid it feels like a past life, I don't feel like the same person.
