I am now so interested in the intricacies of this bird/worm society. Worms have parties. They celebrate Cinco de Mayo, apparently. Is it our human holiday they've adapted, or do the worms have their own Mexican American culture to be celebrating? Plus, there are bird vending machines with just plain old Snickers in them! How would birds cultivate chocolate and make caramel and nougat and then put it all together!? That seems highly improbable, right? So the next logical leap is that humans are making the Snickers and engaging in comerce with birds. Do avians have their own currency or do they just use USD or something? Do European birds use European money? If birds are intelligent and set up enough to trade with us, how does travelling work for them? Do they do it by our human standards? Is there like a bird TSA? Is bird air security pretty lenient, or is it strict? *Was* it lenient? What was the turning point? Was there a bird 9/11?!? It's so late at night... this is gonna be in my mind for so long...

totally unrelated by my entire childhood i heard this saying and interpreted it wrong....i assumed the saying was about being the worm and not the bird, and that waking up early meant you would get eaten...so don't get up early or take life to seriously and you will live longer. To this day i think i still like this version a little better.

The thing is, if you think about it.. this is a correct metaphor for suiting to your audience. Bird = You Worm = Customers Sleep patterns = consumer needs

Also this kind of doesnt make sense because its not like the amount of worms refils every morning. its a constant event. But the point is that while all the birds are all sleeping, the worm population grows. so the bird that is woken , gets all the worms.
