Most seeds don’t need light to germinate. Heat and moisture is best. Once they sprout the grow lights are beneficial but the plastic dome not so much. They need air circulation to prevent rot. You should try an experiment growing some in the domes and some not to see what works best. Happy gardening!

Be careful I had these exact grow seed things and thank goodness I checked on them they were melting ; and starting to burn! Had to return the whole set up to Amazon including the melted burnt one!

The felt mat goes on top of the plastic piece. Fold the down the access. It’ll wick the water up from the bottom and you’ll have to water less often.

Sorry you had to disassemble the seed starters, but at least it would not have taken too long. The cover made a ideal potting area on the table, and no waste as you were able to pour the compost back in the bag. Blessings.

It was super easy. Didn’t have to empty a soil at all. Just lift the parts and put it together the right way.

Asa, I almost ordered the potting mat when I seen it the other day. I’m definitely going to order it from your affiliate link and I will be ordering those starting pots! I am in Minnesota, so that would be perfect for me as well! I’m going to have my four-year-old (mild autistic) and one and a half year-old grandsons help me this year for the first time. The mat will definitely cut down on the mess. 😊
