Early morning lobster dive

I went out for a super early dive with Ben from Coastline Fishing youtube channel.
We foraged lobsters by freediving among the kelps. The vis was great and the lobsters were plentiful as usual. The East coast of Scotland does not get much clearer vis than this!

😂 love this Grant! The birds here concentrate on hammering your car after you have washed it! This is an Epsealon Shadow freedive suit, so it’s meant to be slightly “camo”

Morning Tom , what is the limit for lobster and scallops to take for your own use in the uk ? Thanks

Lobster is 87mm carapace length. Not sure about scallops. I only take the really big ones.

1 lobster and 6 scallops/ day is the law in Scotland.

@@germanshepherdGCampbell ah numbers, not size, ok. If we look at my daily average, then I’m around 0.001 lobsters per day this year.

@@tjashton minimum landing sizes apply as well and as you say 87mm carapace length for lobster and 105mm ACROSS the shell for scallops in Scotland.

Hi, can I ask what depth you are roughly diving around 3:30?

Not deep at all. About 4-5m roughly. We usually dive at low tide so it reduces the strain on the body caused by lots of repetitive dives.
