Early 1990’s Rotax 912UL in for some head and carb rework. It’s impressed all of us on the dyno today 😎💪🏻 #flyrotax #rotax912 #rotax912uls #rotax912ul #edgeperformanceas #edgeperformance #flyrotax

Awesome result! 👍 wasn't expecting that at all. Why were the carburettors left unbalanced and mixtures not adjusted? It's idling so rough. Or was this pulled straight out of the airframe without resetting anything?

That's actually an 80HP version? and they seem to specify the 80 for 5800rpm where it delivers 85HP so no power loss. Maybe wear actually increases power a little? if the bore is slightly bigger but that's probably negligible. I wonder what a 100HP delivers then. And 915.

What type of head work was done? Did you make any mods to increase HP or is this a bone stock engine? Thanks

A proper valve job and a tuned exhaust.

I would like to know how it works to get an engine to you guys? I'm buying an aicraft the has a 1992 Rotax 912 UL with 350 hours on it eventhough it's suppose to have reached it's TBO in terms of years in service can you guys make it airworthy again ? and increase it's performance?

Hi Stephan. A 1992 912UL is unfortunately not suitable for any power upgrades. That is a very old engine. I would consider a new engine given the age and old outdated engine configuration.
