Great video as always. I’ve learnt here in the soggy west of Ireland you make use of any dry day and appreciate it even more,let alone if the sun is out. Sometimes I just sit for five and warm my face and quietly listen to the garden. Spring is bursting here and the light is drawing out. Thank you for sharing.

@@theflowerfarmer Hej Georgie xxx!🌻 It was such a nice add on, the appearance of Fabrizio! :) And I somehow already thought this will be an exceptional happening ;) But it was nice to hear and see the man at your side, with the love for wildlife and native orchids 🌸 🌿 Have a nice spring both of you, I hope rain stopps soon (same here 🙄)! This afternoon sunshine is on the forecast .... WHAT IS THIS? Can't remember .... 😬 But rain gave me plenty of time for your books, at the moment "The flower farmer's year" 😀 So rain doesn't always mind! 😉 🤗

Such a wonderful way to raise spirits, out gardening on a sunny day! Even if it's squelching underfoot! It's been raining here all day in the Eastern Townships of Quebec, Canada, grey and sodden. But it will snow again soon, so at least we've no need to shovel this today. My last frost date is the 2ndish week of June, Zone 4, sigh. We're not done winter yet, so your garden saves my sanity, you know! Thank you very much for these videos!!

Everything looks so lush and healthy!😊

we've been gardening organically here since we arrived in 2004 so we have a really flourishing ecosystem which means we don't suffer too much from pests and disease as there's always someone in the food web to eat the pest or control the disease for us. xxx

Wish I could be so lucky…I garden organically using diatomaceous earth only when I’m at my wits end and I use a lot of row cover for insects for some of the pests! I have to wonder what eats earwigs and Japanese beetles🤪. Happy Gardening

At what kind of temperatures do you wrap up your young plants? I’ve been doing it in the greenhouse if dropping below 5/6 Celsius but I think I may be mollycoddling!
@theflowerfarmer4 ай бұрын
only the delicate little people get wrapped up: dahlias, tomatoes and chillies, aubergines, cobea and a few other tender babies and they are totes wrapped up right now in this blackthorn winter cold - the hardy babies, annuals and perennials, are toughing it out outside in the wind and rain and weather unless a frost threatens then I whip them into the studio for the night x

bamboo canes! My neighbours darlings chose my front garden over winter 😫 I put a load of canes in and wired some horizontally. They gave me a filthy look when the next walked past 😂

I have a similar problem; construction in our neighborhood has diverted many dog walkers past our house where they let their pups pee on the lavender that grows at the edge of my garden! Exasperating. When I walk my wee Shadow, I don't let him pee on landscaped properties! There are plenty of weeds and fence posts for marking. I'm going to move the lavender (with gloves!!)
