Early Spring Prespawn Bass Fishing (Lake Hodges)

First time going out to Hodges in 2024 and it was successful! Probably one of my best days out on the water, quantity wise. All on one specific bait!

What rod specs do you have I just picked up a Shimano SLX wondering what others are using for rods.

Most of my rods are Medium Heavy power, extra fast action. My reasoning for this is versatility. With this power and action, you’ll be able to cover 80%-90% of techniques on the water. Pair that with the SLX, and you’ll have one of the best budget friendly combos ever! I have the entire SLX series and I recommend them to everyone. Tight lines! 🎣
