Your video brought up 3 questions for me. Maybe future (or even past) video ideas. When do you choose a plopper over a walking bait? When do you choose a popping walking bait (like a cane walker) over a normal spook? What grear ratio, and overall set up, do you use for deep cranking? Thanks for your teaching.

Thanks man!! I needed this! After the last tournament, I quickly found out the fish up shallow aren’t active at alum. I can’t fish the next two tournaments, but I can’t wait to get back on the water soon!

What about night fishing this time of year? And do you still rip the crankbait if your lake has a muddy bottom? I like using lipless crank baits when you find suspended bass feeding. You can burn those through the school and pick up fish almost every cast.

I have a question. So i’m a pond angler and I feel a crank bait could be a great bait for my ponds. The issue is the snot grass. I mean the stuff that gets hung up on literally everything. If i were to throw a crank bait, it would go through that grass and get weeds all over the hooks and everything. Are there any replacement baits that anyone thinks well or do you think I should just power through it with the crank bait?

Weedless swim jig is probably your best bet. Try bluegill colors 😊

Chatterbait comes thru the grass pretty well
