Norman Paris had to re-copy the musical arrangements from the Music Master tapes to re-perform them with the house band in this show's demonstration. The show band copied the 'tapes' with exceptional perfectness. Soon, Hammond and Lowrey would come out with those 'rhythm boxes' built-in to their organs, where 'one-touch accompaniment' became a big thing.

Actually the great invention is the magnetic tape, back in Germany 1928. The Mellotron is an application of 72 tapes, and keys functioning as "play" buttons

the concept of having many sounds mapped to what is essentially an organ is the innovative idea many people speak about, the tape mechanics are impressive, but nearly all piano keyboards today have many sounds which may be directly attributed to the mellotron and chamberlin of old

So even this earlier SAMPLER was also touch responsive like the later Mellotron! And again, NO LATENCY or delay from note on to sound! Why can't modern samplers have been this way? And be ultraphonic too?(plays all keys at once).
