I’m interested in getting an investment plant but want to look for one that isn’t super difficult to care for. What would you recommend ?

I would focus on getting a plant type that you already know grows well in your home. More importantly take some time to research prices. Most prices are dropping dramatically, but if you can find something mostly stable it'll be more worth your time.

Do you sell the plant in leca, or convert to soil first?

This video is a bit old and he seems to have changed his stance on this method. But if the big large bursting bubbles is too much for you, you can always go back to the pet store and get yourself a diffusing disc. I've been taking care of fish so long that I don't remember the actual name of it but it's just a ceramic disc usually blue that makes the bubbles a bit smaller. All you have to do is make sure it's not a disc for CO2, unless of course you're using CO2 in your system.t

its def too early for me to watch this as i didnt understand anything and have been a plant mom for about 1.5 months.. and i already have like 40 plants, tho most of them are babies lol

Hello, I keep my leca in glass vases.. would it be better to put it in pots with drainage holes instead?

That depends on what your goals are? It is a lot to switch over to drainage pots and overpots for everything. The glass vases do look nice and your plants can grow perfectly fine in there too.

@@KillThisPlant Thank you for your response :) I am just worried about the lower roots sitting in water in the glass vases... although its just 1 - 2 cm of water. Also if I constantly tip everything out to wash the leca, would I be disturbing the roots too much?

@@hazeieris4478 the lower roots shouldnt really be sitting in water regardless of the type of container. Occasionally you'll have to take your plant out and readjust so the lower roots are sitting just above the water/nutrient line.

I like the tips, but tbh there's no such thing as 'investment houseplants'. Somewhere in Thailand or Indonesia there will always be dudes doing TC with 1k rare plants at the same time. They'll always plummet in price, unfortunately.

well it depends on how you evaluate ''investment'' . ofc plant prices drop but they usually dont within a couple weeks. if i buy a plant with like 4 leaves for 100 bucks and then i immediately cut it down to 4 plants and let them root for a few weeks to resell 3 plants for 34 each, it was allready a good investment because i got my plant for FREE and everything its producing from now on will be 100% profit only and it doesnt matter if prices will drop because i got that plant for free anyways. however and most people selling plants i know dont think that ''far'' it is very well known that plants drop in prices, that why you have personal plants and trading plants and the trading plants you buy in for cheap and get rid of them again as fast as possible. you dont buy them to keep them around the house for too long. buy in and sell will be more efficient than growing your plants out anyways because it takes too long on a small scale. you only grow out the stuff that does not sell. and dropping prices are not a problem because there will ALLWAYS be a NEW plant that sought after and expensive to switch to once the old plant drops.
