I have 4 Eart guitars. I have come to realize that these are the best deal in guitar that the consumer has ever seen. The only problems i've encountered are some high frets that cause buzz which I fixed myself by doing a fret level. You simply cannot get a bone nut that's cut correctly, stainless steel frets, roasted maple neck, mahogany body, good hardware, and some attention to detail that Fender and Gibson can't even compete with for these prices. The only thing I would change out are the pickups(mainly the single coils) and electronics and tuners but it really isn't necessary but does improve the sound. Buy one and fix it up it's totally worth it and they stand by their products.

Amazing guitar. I have a Strandberg and just got the GW2 Purple, looks exactly as yours. Of course both guitars have hardware, woods and shapes really different, but for an affordable guitar, the EART is awesome. I'm really enjoying play it.

How's the neck feel on the Strandberg comapred to the Eart? Is it worth the money for the ergo endura neck or whatever it's called?

@@TeeFetch its Endurneck, it's pretty amazing. The GW is more like a traditional Strat's neck feel. The Endurneck it's another kind of monster, some people love it - like me - and some people hate ir. You should definitely play in one before buy it. It's a big deal on playing. The GW you can buy without play it before, because its a headless in more traditional way of neck/scale. Both are great guitars.

Joined your group. I'll share the video of my upgrades when I'm finished. I'm adding Seymour Duncan Blackened Black Winter Pickups, 2 Bourne Push/Pull Pots and an Oaks Grigsby 3-way switch. I'll be doing a coil-split setup for both pickups.

Eart are capable of making some great gutars. I was lucky to win a new unplayed E-3S in purple fade on ebay a couple of years ago. Some of the models have increased in price by large amounts which is a shame as shipping and import duty / tax make them expensive. If you can find one at a sensible price, treat youself, the frets are unique and great to play with no fret sprout.

No import duty or taxes anymore, thanks to warehouses in europe, Canada, US. There is also guitarguitar as distributor for UK. Don't know anything about other countries though

@@CoryMura The warehouse in Europe only has a limited selection of models. GuitarGuitar are all pre orders other than the Rainbow E-3S which is £499 these were £329 when Amazon UK had stock, i paid £199 for new unplayed one i won on ebay. Inflation is forcing all brands to increase prices sadly.

Had mine yesterday but will send it back tomorrow nice guitar but too heavy and Liked the previous shape more and the pickups are a little noisy great sound but have some noise I'm a little disapointed,great neck but it weights as a normal guitar and compared to the previous shape (strandberg like) this one looks unfinished!!! thanks anyway for the video it helped me tweak it to try it...

Like my EART GW-2 very much; big bang for the buck, and no regrets post purchase. Another company to check out is AIO (All In One) guitars. They're making some super awesome guitars in the $500 range. Maybe a review of one of these mein Herr? They're made in California USA. Very happy with a PRS copy I bought!

I love it! I couldn't get the bridge adjusted quite right so I took it to my local guitar place. Now the set up is spot on and it holds tune perfectly! The only thing I think I'll end up upgrading is the pickups. I'll probably save up and put some nice Bare Knuckles in it.

Hey Cory. Great video. The info that they now ship form EU finally convinced me to buy the Eart headless after being aware of it for like a year with change (previously, I didn't want to deal with customs, shipping from China etc.). Hopefull I'll get a good axe with no major issues. Looks like you ineed put a lot of effort into your FB group. If I may suggest something, could you record a video of a string change + basic setup on this guitar? Preferably showing at least one string change from the beginning to the end with no cuts (the rest can be sped up). If you don't want to mess up your action/intonation, there's no need to do it from scratch, but explaining how to raise/lower and move the bridge saddles for setting up action/intonation, would probably be very helpful to people you've convinced to buy GW2 with this review :) EDIT: Actually it looks like you covered the adjustment of action/intonation really well in this video, but I think video with a complete string change would be very helpfull. I know you've touched on the subject in this review, but a dedicated video could be great. Surprisingly, other than a few second in Phil McKnight review, there are no videos showcasing a string change with this bridge and locking system design.

Why a nut on a headless guitar with a zero fret? To keep the strings from moving back and forth on that zero fret when you bend.

Thanks for the good review Cory 😊👍🏻 I have the complete black one with ash body for almost two month now and I love it. The best comparison I could make is with a Strandberg Boden Original from 2020 that I own also. The Boden has a crazy prize and is surely the better guitar (better is for that money 😉), but the Eart is so damn good 😄 I bought the Eart because I wanted a second headless guitar for backup and had a terrible experience with a Strandberg Boden Standard NX6 from 2021 wich had sharp fret ends and crooked Tuners/bridge. I had to send it back. 😕 Now I’m happy and play the Eart as often as my good Strandberg. 😄 Keep up your great work 🤘🏻😎

Yours is the best-detailed review I’ve seen so far. Well worth a sub and a Like. Questions: Are you affiliated in any way with EART? You seem pretty into them. 16:00- the whole bridge assembly is moving a bit there. Is that a concern? 16:55- Seems awkward to have to tune with the pick hand. I’m used to tuning with my left while picking with my right.

Im considering buying one. But not sure what is the difference between the GW2 and GW2 Pro models, except the bridge-tuners and finish... Is it worth almost double the price? maybe they got more careful quality control for the more expensive model? I'll probably get the Pro one anyway, just because it's black and gold :) But i love the GW2 blue color too, it's like an ocean with small islands looking from above haha

Hi. GREAT video. I can't fathom how happy I am you reviewed this. I'm totally considering this guitar as I'd like to buy an headless without breaking the bank. My only question would be : did you have a chance to try the "pro version" (GW2-Pro) ? THAT wenge neck looks awesome, but since it's a different bridge design (which seems like the one Harley Benton uses on their Dullahan line of guitars, but can't see if it's the v1 or the V2 of said bridge) and woods combination I'm very curious about it. I actually have a W2, which is the predecessor to this guitar, but it is more or less identical in construction. The overall quality is very good, but a few things are very poorly solved. With my guitar, there was probably some damage in the neck that was repaired very badly. The pickups are ok, but some frequencies are missing. They're not bad either, but something you problably should switch and some point. I couldn't disagree more about the bridge. In the new version, at least these grooves are embedded, so you can help with the pick, in the previous model they were missing. I find them clearly too cumbersome and too difficult to use. Especially live. And adjusting the height of the string of course, since it is a wheel, also leads to the fact that the distance of the string changes. Other than that, I think the guitar is a good deal. But there are some problems.

But how often do you change the intonation and string height on a guitar? You setup the height and after that the intonation and its spot on. I needed 30 minutes and a coffee to set it up perfectly. For a beginner that bridge could be tough indeed. But its something you do once or twice and then its fine and you don't need to touch it again. Tuning by hand is easy and i dont think i am the strongest dude. Maybe they changed stuff.. I don't know anything about older models. They say on their website that the bridge pickup got scooped mids and that's true. I will shoot comparisons and there we will probably hear better whats going on. I like it very much but can see how someone couod dislike it... Especially with an amp that needs those mids.

The GW2 is hardtail and got padouk body. The GW1 got a trem and is ash bodied. Thats it
