Correction,, royalties don't come standard for NFTs. That it's just something that's possible. The NFT producer has to build royalties into the smart contract. IN THE METAVERSE" breaks down.. it's a virtual world, the entire virtual world could be inside a virtual snowglobe on the virtual moon that's also inside the virtual snowglobe, it doesn't matter that it couldn't be like that in the real world because it's just virtual - it's just a story in essence in that way. the whole thing is a dumbf*** idea basically that's why it makes more money when sold as an idea like this and not as the actual finished product, because the VIRTUAL IDEA of e2 can be _anything_ - even logically impossible! if it was a finished software product and a service in the real world it would have to actually be logically possible, but as long as it's just an idea it can be anything a cult member wants it to be.

Money goes in, but you can't extract money (legally) E2 is based on the idea that money goes and you can extract your 'earnings'. And so far everything can be traded around. Therefore potentially turned into extractable money.

2 major problems with Shane's "counter argument": -First, the Google and Apple stores can justify that fee by having a massive customerbase. When thousands of people are guaranteed to see your product, that cut is worth it; In fact, that cut is paying for access that customer base. Shane has nothing of the sort to compare. -Second, we're talking about something similar to royalties here, not a single sale. The models they are selling can be resold and from each and every one of these sales, Earth 2's team takes a 5% cut. If these things change hands 6 times, the other online store's cut is immediately lower than what Earth 2 takes from the creators. Even a single one of these is enough to conclude that, even assuming that Shane is trying to make the best thing he can, Earth 2's team have made a wrong move.

There is just too much tech required that doesn't exist yet and CIG had to build that tech from scratch. Sure they occasionally mess up, like the FPS portion getting built in the wrong scale by the contracted dev studio due to miscommunication, forcing CIG to build it all over again themselves, but things going wrong is just part of every project. I guess what I'm trying to say is, yes more tech for simulation MMOs exists now than it did back when Star Citizen development was getting started, but nowhere near enough, and much of it is in CIG's hands, so if anyone tells you they can make a game bigger than Star Citizen, in less time and with less money, you should press X to doubt.

If you go back and listen to the clip that was played close to the beginning of the video they no doubt gave away their entire plan for this project. Go back to around 10 seconds into the video and it states that their goal is to "Bend Logic." Well...congratulations... you have succeeded!! Not only when it comes to this nightmare of an idea but to reality itself. Good luck Dr. Who.... your going to need it!
