In a vast galactic community of diverse species, humans are known for their adaptability and bizarre fascination with danger. When Earth is officially classified as a "Death World," it throws the galaxy into a frenzy of confusion and amusement. Two alien diplomats, baffled by humanity's ability to thrive amidst chaos, embark on a mission to understand this enigma firsthand. The story offers a humorous look at Earth's peculiar dangers (extreme weather, reckless sports, spicy foods) from the perspective of bewildered (and increasingly entertained) aliens.

@@rox3725technically most carnivores and herbivores are facultative, meaning that they do eat both meat and plants but just lean heavily towards one side. Some “herbivores” for example wild deer killing and eating rabbits, cows eating snakes and horses eating baby birds. All species of cats are the only land carnivores I can think of that can’t digest plant material in any capacity. On earth at least.

Most dangerous planet in the galaxy that ACTUALLY HAS SENTIENT LIFE ON IT
@VestedUTuber
@VestedUTuber 5 ай бұрын
@@AenVegra Realistically you still wouldn't be able to confirm that. We've found so many extreme planets out there IRL that extreme seems to be the norm. Even within the realm of habitability you're likely to have planets with more extreme temperature swings or higher levels of vulcanism. Earth is definitely not a perfect world but the way _some_ HFY stories portray it breaks suspension of disbelief. And before you say "then why do you even bother with HFY stories", I'm here for the stories of humans bringing new perspectives to stagnant galaxies, of humbling established powers through shear tenacity or strategy, or in some cases just our willingness to apply enough brute force, or even just the shear culture shock.

These deathworld stories are so much cooler when they dont overplay it. Its not impossible that extra terrestrial life just doesnt undergo the same darwinistic crucible we do but its not likely either. Extra terrestrial life reacting to in a human way to that difference is even less likely. Its a very fun concept but leaning too hard into it really taxes the ol suspension of disbelief

Dude... everything on *_earth_* goes through that crucible. And we *_still_* win. No reason aliens can't be weaker than us, same way ants are. And I say that because people who say this crap *_never_* have a similar problem with stories where the aliens just totally outclass humans, only when we outclass them. Which is what shows their logic to be nonsense.

My answer to the question in the title of this story: John: Could you explain me what a “miracle” is? Jack: Of course. Imagine a man felt out from 10th floor right on to the concrete pavement, and got no injuries. How would you call it? John: A lucky chance. Jack: Hmm… Imagine the next day the same man also felt from 10th floor the same way to the concrete pavement and got no injuries. How would you call it? John: A coincidence. Jack: Hmm… Imagine third day in a row the same thing happen. How would you call it? John: A habit. And this is, my friends, how humans survived on Earth. By habit. . . . And now I'm ready to listen to the story.

I'd imagine they'd find cinema interesting. It uses an old school projector. Humans CAN and HAVE build giant screens to display images. And yet, they still use a primitive light caster to display images on a giant piece of paper.... And even though it's so primitive, just a shine cast on a wall in a dark room, how basic can you get, it's not a full-round simulation like on some ships... They still go to those cinemas. And somehow, against all odds, you still forget that you're in a dark room with a light above you. You fully feel the world you're presented with. The fact that they managed to trick them into forgetting about the rest of the world and fully immerse themselves inside the story they're telling with such simple tech is nothing short of magic.
