To me they are the greatest band, ever. As an aside, the gentleman playing the Sax is Don Myrick, who was tragically killed by cops in the 80’s (somebody check me) when they went to his home and he answered the door holding a gun shaped lighter, or so the story goes. He was a HUGE talent. Listen to EWF’s “Runnin’” a Grammy-winning composition/performance that features Myrick.

they were a hit factory and they had great musicians and a great horn section. that's why they lasted so long. Music needs to rediscover instruments like horns, the organ, piano, the synthesizer, flute, etc. One dimensional and boring today with overproduced and over vocalized sound alike songs

One of my favorite love songs of all time. It came out when I was in 10th grade. High School memories. I have to say, I've never seen this version/video. It's a little chopped up. I like the original off the album and another live version but don't know from where they played it or what year. You could hear all the girls screaming on that version from the very beginning. I saw them in concert in 1978. Really great show.

I've seen EWF at least twenty times over the last 40 years. Last time being 2019. They are still fantastic. If you can find it, listen to the Live version of " Fantasy" on the "Live at Velfarre" album. Philip Bailey is amazing in that particular live version. Check it out. I can't begin to tell you how much better he is on that album. He is always fantastic, but Fantasy on the Live at Velfarre album is the want you . You'll be shocked and amazed. Love your channel. Phillip Bailey was the lead here and co-lead of the group. He sang lead on many of EWFs hits. Maurice White was the other co-lead. Their tones were different which worked beautifully. Also Maurice's brother is on bass, Verdine.
