To the few people that stumble across this video by accident, I want to explain a bit. We had a tradition at all of our family get togethers where everyone had to do a karaoke song. Mainly we’d play the music off of KZbin with the lyrics and we’d lip sync with it or actually sing/rap. So it was common practice for a room packed with family, to be watching a KZbin video on the flat screen , with lyrics rolling. Which explains why I had to title this video the way I did and use the lyric form. So during the party when I casually asked someone to look it up , no one could get the slightest clue. This video was a proposal for my fiancée at the time. During my birthday party. I performed it dressed as a pirate and she was a mermaid. She was also Very beautiful, and had a smile that made her appear majestic. The entire night was beautiful. Something that I’ll cherish for the rest of my life. As she sat in a chair out in center, I performed the song normally with the lyrics behind me, and with the exception of those present that were featured in the video…no one could’ve ever have expected what was coming next as the song started to “fade out”. But when you engineer music for fun…you can do cool little tricks like loop a song’s ending epilogue into theme music for a proposal build up. What’s even funnier is she sat and watched her and my family, give her, me and us both praises for a good 10 mins, in bubbly bliss and still had no idea what was going on but was just happy to see their faces and hear them on the screen suddenly. After that portion it was paused and I enlightened her on what just happened and popped the question. She then said yes and everyone discussed for a few minutes and then I resumed the video which showed the bonus compilation themed with by Tevin Campbell- I’m Ready. It tears my soul to get to this part but we stayed engaged for 2 years and things fell apart in 2020 (surprise surprise…a cursed year indeed). There was no cheating involved or anything like that, but she felt like she should take a step back snd figure things out. We still have love for each other to this day and still consider each others family our own. I didn’t expect this video to actually get more than 20 views. So to come back to it to see it at 2k with a couple of comments about how it made them feel, made me want to explain a bit more why you may have ended up watching such a personal clip after just wanting to hear a song. 🤣 It truly tore my soul apart to end up hear again and relive what I lost but …. Much love to everyone that ends up here and I truly hope, wish, and pray that each and every last one of you find something as beautiful as what we had at that time and nothing or no one could ever take it away from you.
