Summary: It's L4D as I stated but lacking much of the content such as PvP or a fluid campaign. In Earthfall the maps do not connect so no matter what gear you have when you hit the end of a map you always start with a pistol in the next map. The gun play is ok, I like the ADS but would like a little more recoil. The Aliens are fine, they look good but why did they just copy & paste the specials from L4D, can't they think up new monsters? They did for the blackout Alien and the floaty one but just copied the rest from L4D. So basically if you loved L4D then you will enjoy this but at £23 you really should get a load more content then 10 disjointed maps.

My favourite part is when one of characters in the game saids look out for the witch during my play through of the game but the dialogue ends quickly at the word wit so I feel like they have taken everything from left 4 dead

I agree with you, Left 4 Dead is the perfect formula for a co-op survival game but these days if someone wants to make a game like that they need to add more to it but I'm not sure is it was necessary to add ADS. I'm having fun with Vermintide 2. That said, I wish Valve would make another Left 4 Dead game.

Here is something I would like to point out and address because all the ignorant reviewers I've seen are either neglecting this fact or assuming the role of arrogance. The developers were inspired by "Left 4 Dead" however the game can't be played the same way, as the pacing isn't the same. Your objective isn't to sprint as fast from point A to point B and just shut the door behind you.. you actually have interesting objectives which differ throughout most the game. The only constant objective is turning the power on to get the 3D printer, Healing station and other small sources of power mechanics operational. Worth a Buy: As much as I like your reviews this is one where I have to disagree with you. Mostly because your information is wrong. Earthfall is cheaper than Left 4 Dead was on release. This game is at a standing price of $29.99 when the first Left 4 Dead released it was $59.99 and when the sequel released nothing changed.. they still charged full price for the game. Which while fun is steep and insulting for all that you're getting. Earthfall: While the game is $29.99 and has a handful of issues the game is incredibly fun. The entertainment is as strong as Left 4 Dead and you're paying only half the price. The game also improves on the formula of L4D even if ever the slightest.. adding small little improvements here and there. The game for me isn't repetitive at all, since release I've been playing and having a great time with people. The major thing to note is developers have stated all DLC will be free; not including the deluxe edition cosmetic items. So with that understanding the game is very much worth it.

I agree; one should take what has inspired them and innovate. Sadly while the game doesn't do that I will state as you've essentially said the same. While the game doesn't add a whole lot of new the game is quite fun and does improve drastically on all the technical issues that L4D is plagued with. If I may' the only real setback with this game is it's ideal direction fell through with lack of content to it's release date. Had the game released with more it could be receiving perhaps better ratings. Either way; I agree with a majority of what you said. I do feel terrible for the developers though or any developer who releases a game and people can't give the game it's own credit and only refers to it as another game. "Realize I don't mean comparing features, I literally mean stating a game is simply a ripoff" I am not implying that you said anything regarding that either.. other reviewers have however.
