You can tell andy is really good at making a pedal shine, when you notices how he changes his playing and pickup configuration when demoing the bandwidth modes so it doesn't sound so muddy with more bass.

2:24 on second thought, the "clean" tone used here is already pretty crunchy, so there's your cascading gain staging, a lot coming from the amp. Still, this pedal slays.

exceptional pedal! Very very versatile and each of the available voices sound very "convincing" and is properly voiced. This is definitely one of the two best (the other one would be the Sally Drive by 6degrees FX) TS style pedals...this one's definitely the most versatile one. Really impressed!

For centuries Pearl Cream was available only to the very rich, but in recent years the lowered costs of gathering pearl oysters has made it affordable to everyone. A thirty-day supply of oriental Pearl Cream is only... Wait, what? Oh, that was Pearl JAM? I always get those two mixed up.

How is this pedal in front of a high gain amp? Can you use channel A as an "Always On" TS style to tighten up a heavy tone and then use Channel B for a heavier gain layer and the boost for leads?

Sometimes pedals like this are silly and more of a gimmick than useful. They did a great job of making this usable and still packing in a ton of options. I'm sure it's expensive, but it could actually be worth it. The switchable input caps alone is a very cool option.

@Josh Yosh: no idea how your comment disappeared! The pedals you listed (Tech 21, Modtone, TC VPD1 et al) might have comb filtering in their circuitry, but I've been looking for a dedicated comb filter pedal such as the THD Quintet, Snarling Dogs Very-Tone etc. And the Palisades IMO trumps all those pedals with the plethora of sounds you get out of it turning the Voice and Bandwidth knobs.

Just bought this pedal, not knowing it was based on the ts808(on sale at GC.) I must say eartquaker devices really did a great job with this pedal. You can dial anything from a clean boost all the way up to a growling beast.
@josipsprljan92186 жыл бұрын
Hi! Can you tell me can you use only boost without activating overdrive segment of a pedal? I would sometimes use amp drive channel so Im curious can I boost it without turning pedal overdrive on to get extra bite.

I've loved every single Earthquaker video I've seen. The pedals are second to none to me. They are built to last, and built to perform. Hand-made. Unfortunately, I doubt I'll ever own one. They are just too expensive for the common man to ever be able to afford reasonably. It's a shame, really, if they were just a little bit cheaper I'd buy the whole lot of them.

I wish I had one of these to compare with a VHT V Drive which has some similiar features. Instead of the 5 way bandwidth cap selector the V Drive has an 11 way depth cap selector that does the same thing I believe. The V Drive also has an 10 way clipping selector with an 11th clean boost clipping bypassed mode. The one thing the palisades does better is the boost + dual gain options so I wonder if the V Drive is better for the $... This pedal still looks killer though, I wonder which is more versatile.

There’s the old saying...ya get what ya pay for. Its not always true and always remember to caveat emptor. But in the case of this pedal-it seems you are getting a lot for your money. whats the difference between gain a and b? I'm new to guitar playing and to all the it's accessories. It's all very overwhelming.
@liberty55655 жыл бұрын
Channel A is low gain Channel B is high gain Channel B is the middle stomp switch on the bottom, step on that and you get the amount of gain (dirt, grit, distortion) and you get what you have dialed in on the knob. Kind of hard for me to explain. They make a "Dunes" pedal which is a scaled back version of this one, but I would buy the Palisades because it's only a bit more money and has all of the options and you will figure it out. Both pedals are killer though and EQD makes the best pedals, imo.
@shatteredsquare6 жыл бұрын
This isn't even a pedal, this is a fucking amplifier preamp front end, less a tone stack. Some of those settings in this video (2:59 POSITION 4!) sound to my ears absolutely identical in breakup characteristics to a 90s mesa Tremoverb, that starved-for-voltage falling-apart treble-peaking breakup. All it needs is to be run into a thick as peanut butter compressor and mixed with a little dry fundamental and some post gain EQ and you'd have the clearest crunchiest amp front end I've ever heard since Make Yourself!!!!
@NoCoverCharge5 жыл бұрын
i love my palisades...

The thing that sucks is that their aren't two independent volume 's for the gain A/B. So you end up too loud when you click on Gain B.
@ronnieo.66474 жыл бұрын
Mc Ren try not to have the gain too high on B. I mean how much gain do you actually need? 😂🤘🏽 Maybe you could use your volume knob? I definitely understand what your saying though.

It sure sounds great but I think that so many options should be able to be controlled by MIDI. Is it worth to have 480 sound possibilities when you can only use four live?
