I drove through Crestone back in 97' and it seemed so deserted with for sale signs everywhere. So glad to see it come back to life in this way!

I don't know if you'll see this, but so happy to see your success as a content creator Eric!! When I went off social media in 2019, I thought I wouldn't see or hear from most people again. But here I am daydreaming about the 4 season greenhouses I want to build once we get our land in the inland NW and came upon your videos! Very inspirational and hope life's been going good for you 🙌

Started experimenting with solar about 2 years ago. While the upfront cost for lithium batteries is fairly high, personally I believe its worth it. Much more consistent power curve, they are more forgiving if capacity is dropped to near zero, and they do not need to be vented. They are however a bit more touchy if left in extreme cold or heat

I understand Crestone has strict building codes in the Baca and high HOA costs. Are they outside the Baca?
@TheOffGridGuru3 жыл бұрын
They are in the Baca. But technically they are in the Chalets. Yes they have HOA fees. But I dont consider $400/yr to be expensive…

Their glass bottle walls are really ugly. The rest is nice though, especially the mother figure over the fireplace. Also, digging down to create a greenhouse is mixing cold with hot, not very efficient.
@applelewman18563 жыл бұрын
Submerging the greenhouse into the ground helps it maintain an even temperature. It is very efficient. When you go 4-6 feet down the temperature is more stable throughout the year than being on the surface. Greenhouses are for extending the growing season not just accumulating heat.

Well Apparently you didn't do a whole lot of research or thought into your comment 🤔 UMM well I actually take that back,you put absolutely no thought and definitely not a single second of research,you didn't even bother Googling anything did you?? Get it together before you comment!! If you think it's ugly or if you just plain out don't like it,that's totally fine,but absolutely Do not spread false information about this type of building or construction,because even if you don't like or agree with it,there's tons upon tons of others that do,and look at other people's homes and experience for their own idea's 2 incorporate to make our own!! Maybe we will keep our footprints down some,and make a good living in a home we love,and it being our very own!! So please please do your research,the greenhouse thing is actually spot on,& they done amazing!!
