Why are you comparing a 50-50 on snowboard to a “board slide” on skis? Compare riding straight into a box on a board vs skis. Boardslide on snowboard is the same as rail slide on skies. 50/50 on snowboard is the same as 50/50 on skis. Why compare different tricks entirely?

A 50/50 on a board and a rail slide on skis are the most basic ways to hit a rail for either sport. To 50/50 a rail on skis is very difficult.

I object, snowbording rails is mad hard, and although skiing rails is harder at first, once your on the rail its so easy. Snowboarding on the other hand is hard all the way thru, even for 50-50s especially on a rail.

I think skiing is much easier to lock in and spin off because you can Pretz the rail, snowboarding is a lot harder to spin on, skiings just all around easier tho

You can catch edges on skis aswell if you don’t know how to ride or transition switch/revert smoothly but you will land on your side rather than face plant it like a board edge will do you

Snowboarding is harder to learn esier to master, skiing is easy to learn, super fucking difficult to master, i only Snowboard a coiple times a year for 4 years and im already carving and starting to learn jumps, skiing ive been doing all the time the entire season for 14 years and i still have yet to master it

No, no.... 1. skiing is straight forward, bording is sideways !!! 2. Bording legs locked, skiing legs are free for movment and adaptations and corrections !!!

As a skier and snowboarder you are officially worn. 😂 boarding is not harder because your sideways. Like mentioned in the video, it is your natural forward position, so there is no change in what you have to do other than keep balance. In addition, having your legs locked is 100% a benefit. With a board, you only have to worry about balancing weight on the one center of gravity, and if you fall or about to it is much easier to hop off of and avoid a rail. On skis however, you have to control two different CGs, each about a fourth the width of a snowboard. Like the video mentioned, again you also have to hold the skis at a certain angle and not just flat, whereas a snowboard can just be level with the rail. It took me about two years to go from a beginner to perfectly grinding rails on a snowboard, but on skis I am still working on perfecting my rail skills to this day, and I have been on skis for almost 5 years now.
