We recently had the opportunity to try Claypot White Pepper Prawns with Glass Noodles at a restaurant and fell in love with it right away. We thought it would be a fantastic culinary treat to elevate your Chinese New Year celebrations. So, we've crafted an easy-to-follow recipe for you to recreate this dish at home. 120ml (4.06 oz) water
1 tbsp oyster sauce
2 tbsps light soy sauce
0.5 tsp sugar
1 tbsp Chinese cooking wine or Shaoxing Huatiao wine
Other Ingredients

5 slices young ginger
5 stalks spring onions
2 shallots, sliced
3 tbsps white peppercorns, pounded or ground coarsely
300g (10.58 oz) prawns, deveined
8 cloves garlic, chopped
80g (2.82 oz) glass noodles, rehydrated (weight taken before rehydrating)
1 tsp sesame oil

Thanks for sharing this simple dish. I just cooked it for dinner today. Followed the ingredients and method almost to the t, except that I added only half a teaspoon of ground black pepper. The dish tastes good.

Thanks for sharing, but I love the Thai style, they use crushed whole garlic, pepper corns, Chinese Parsley roots to fry with the finger slices. Then add in the prawns or crabs that cut into pieces to fry well. Pour in some cooking n cover to cook the crab well. Add in some stock, remove the seafood then add in the tanghoon, cover ti cook fir 2 mins, then pour back the seafood and cover. Last add in some Scallion and Chinese Parsley, cover for 1 min. Done.
