Fumoto valves are good and I've used them for years until recently. Last year I started using ValvoMax instead and it's all I'll use now. Far more robust construction and never the worry of the flip lever being bumped. ValvoMax has triple sealing protection so it's now my go to system.

I was looking into it aswell. I just don’t like how the valvomax needs to use a key. Knowing myself that key will be gone one day and a reorder would happen. And yes Ik everyone says put it in a plastic bag into the glove or zip tied In the bay but defeats the concept imo. Mess was never the issue in my case, it was about carrying the extra tool, socket.

This is why I like Japanese cars. Practical, easy to work on and less expensive maintenance compared to German cars. I also like to change my oil because I know it’s done correctly.

Like you said, know it's done correctly, and don't have nitwits using the ugga ugga on the oil plug.

Yes, my family and I have only owned Honda and Toyota. I needed to work on my sister in law's BMW and it took me an entire day on just a few quick maintenance tasks :(

NO way dude my old bmw has the oil filter that is in the engine compartment no mess removal. All cars should have the oil filter easily accessible in the engine bay not underneeth where oil will spill all over other compnenets.

Is the tiny nipple on the S and SX model long enough for the tubing to stay on it securely?

Several years ago a tv commercial advertised a quick oil drain for your vehicle. My father cracked me up saying “With my luck I’d quick drain 9 qts of oil on I-10 at 75 mph”!

Good video. Do you think for the cost of this it makes sense over an oil extractor?
@JamesFixIt Жыл бұрын
I do like the simplicity of an oil extractor, but my biggest fear is not capturing all of the (dirtiest) oil at the floor of the pan, which is why I suggest going the Fumoto route 👏🏽

@@JamesFixIt I agree. Installing a Fumoto soon on my CX-5 Turbo.

Did you get the adapter for the F106S? On the Fumoto website it says to get an adapter - The ADL-106.
@JamesFixIt Жыл бұрын
I did not get the adapter, as I had ample clearance on this vehicle. I do like the F106SX better, and I’d recommend going that route vs the F106S+ADL106.
@KillaMurda1871 Жыл бұрын
@@JamesFixIt Thanks! I went with the 106sx and got the adapter, just in case. I really appreciate the explanation and install.

Can pop a tube on the sx?

Was that a 3/8 breaker ratchet?
@NathalieH.-pz6se11 ай бұрын
You had to point out the differences between the 2 valves! The SX version gives you the ability to choose the position you want/need vs the standard one and nothing is mentioned about that here so what's the point of showing it??
