I love that you did straps instead of ties through the casing. I think there's a comfort in knowing the ties won't come undone and the dress is as easy as can be to pull over your head and put on. Love it! Thank you!

Oh gosh.... I thought this was going to be a negative comment from the first sentence... my heart dropped to my feet! Thanks for the compliment... and I never use patterns either... I find them too limiting. I guess I learned to be fearless with fabric from watching my mother sew, she made all our clothing, and would not have known how to use a pattern! Thanks again, and have a geat day Cynthia! Kind regards, Emi
ive been sewing 10 yrs and still cant figure out a pattern, ive bought numerous ones for 10c at thrift shops but even following patterns exact i still seem to make things to small or to big, its easier to eye ball my daughter size and go from there. i absolutely love your videos, it nice to see someone not sell me to go find some random pattern from somewhere lol

After six grandsons welcomed into our family, low and behold a granddaughter joined our youngest generation!💖 Now two years old, she is hot this summer, so in need of some pillowcase dresses - counting myself blessed to have found you! I showed her the pics of your two dresses and she picked the one with the pink bow, because pink is always her favorite!!☺ I can hardly wait to make this, so off to the thrift store I'll go tomorrow! Many thanks for sharing your expertise with all of us, Emmy💖

I have made several of these little dresses using your guideline/technique...they are precious. I went to the thrift store & loaded up on some older, vintage pillowcases. Each dress is unique because the colors & prints are all different. I am thinking about offering them for sale at an upscale boutique shop here in FL. My thoughts are that other grandmothers would like to have a little easy fitting, very durable & pretty little dress on hand for when the " grands" visit. Any thoughts on how to price the dresses?

There is such minimal sewing, that it is very easy to sew by hand. Many years ago, I took on a challenge to hand sew an entire dress for myself. I had just left home, moved over 300 miles away, and was living in a boarding house... so no sewing machine! (That was 53 years ago.. wow...)

l was married 18 yrs ago (my 2nd marriage) l killed 7 sewing machines trying to make my wedding dress (my best friend velvet curtains) into a dress of Queen Victoria hoop and all it weighted a ton. For some reason (lm nuts) handmade my flowers and the 2 brides maids flowers as well. some how l managed it It was a wonderful day.
