I've made a few dresses I'm new at this so I'm wondering exactly where do you size the dress for the length for small medium or large does it start at the top of the dress where the elastic is or where you tie the bias tape for the armholes which would to me be the shoulders?

Why does your pattern use elastic instead of just running a ribbon all the way through with a tie at the shoulder?

Do you accept clothing for boys and infants as well? Even if I had to use my own patterns I wouldn't mind doing some for little boys and infants as well as for the little girls. Also does it have to be dresses only from the patterns you have provided?

Hi Ruth, Yes we accept clothing for boys and infants too. There are two different dress patterns and shorts for boys we recommend using. The style of the dresses ensure they can be sized and packaged efficiently within the boxes to make a greater difference to the areas they get sent too. Approximate how much fabric do you need to create your own binding?

Hi Susan, If you are making the dress like it is in the video, we recommend 3/4 to 1 yard of fabric. We started out with a yard of the peach color fabric and used this for everything including the waistband, waist ties and shoulder ties. The shoulder ties are each 40" long. The amount you need will also depend upon the size you are making. Thank you for watching Susan! :)

I was wondering about that too... it always seems the focus is on girls clothing and I know that there are a lot of little boys who need help based on my missionary friends in the field. Also infants need clothing.

Very nice. The waistband adds nothing though. 2 decent pockets would be much better, so that the child has somewhere to keep a few belongings.

You do beautiful sewing. I made a lot of those dresses for girls for Africa. The place I sent them to wrote to me that they received so many dresses that they had to give them to charities in America. Also, I do think the printing of the company and info about the fabric on the fabric should be cut off. It looks tacky left on the dress.
