I wanna try it when I take my protective style done. I tried ut before but I think my mistake was not smoothing throughout the process, my hair ended up EXTREMELY tangled. Took me 2+ hours to detangle 😐 I'll try in two sections first then see how that goes. The trauma is serious 😭

@LaToyaEbonyHair4 жыл бұрын
I haven’t seen many naturals wash their hair without sections. 🤷🏾♀️ Idk...it just...works. Lol! I’ve learned to do it because I have to really make sure my scalp gets clean. Sometimes when it’s in twists I have to work harder to clean my scalp and make sure the twists don’t unravel. Plus I like the feeling of loose hair. Maybe it will change in the future, but for now, I like it. :)

Omg am I glad to bump into your video or what! I had just commented a few days ago that I was yet to see a person of African- American heritage with true type 4c hair due to their multiracial DNA. I take that back! Your hair and mine look and behave exactly the same way I dare say! Especially when drenched with water and afterwards. I totally agree with what you said about our type of hair. It is really beautiful inspite of its tendency to feel dry, get knotty, have low porosity and all the characters that it comes with. There is just something about the way the curl pattern falls. I love it! Your hair is gorgeous girl and that Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie is great. That's the only product so far that makes my hair feel conditioned. Thanks for sharing your tips with us as I have learnt something useful, I battle with knots and breakages a lot X.

I love your videos ❤️. Thanks for representing and showing lots of love in a non-judgmental way (for new naturals, or sistah’s going through it.) I’ve been natural almost 7 years and I’m CONSTANTLY learning about my hair. Sooooooo..... I’ve always wanted to try a wash-n-go, but I’m terrified of letting my coils get all tangled up. My coils shrink to less than half their length making it EASY for them wrap around themselves.......as u know. Plus I’m tender-headed, AND my hair is dense (not as dense as it was when I was 20) but dense enough to start my wash days in twists so I can get my scalp clean and then end it that way to evenly distribute my conditioner and keep my hair detangled. Sooooooo......I guess my questions are........(Because I want to avoid tangling) After a wash-n-go, do you have the same wash routine? Do you need to pree-poo with conditioner or aloe? Do you know a good gel that won’t DRY my hair? (No eco, no wetline pls😊thx) Does your hair ever feel “weird” or “off” after a wash-n-go? I hate crunchy, dry hair ☹️. Which is why I rock twist-out’s, puffs, and stuff. I don’t honestly care for gel OR a lot of product in my hair....BUT I’d like to try to define my beautiful coils at least ONCE. So an in-depth video on that, then what your hair looks like after a week of definition, and it’s time to wash that mess OUT..... I’d LOVE to see what that looks like on REAL type 4. That would be dope and much appreciated!! I hope no one is triggered by my “Real type 4” comment. I watch a few different influencers and most are not on the 4c spectrum of curls, coils, waves, or kinks. So it’s very difficult to gauge what MY hair might react like. Especially with MULTIPLE TEXTURES of 4b AND c in in my hair.Lolol Keep up the good work. Absolutely loved the unpopular opinions videos. They were SPOT ON!! Stay safe out here. Take Care

Hey hey 👋🏾 🤗 . 1. In short, yes. I wash my hair the same way. Detangling takes slightly longer, but not enough to deter me. 2. No, I haven’t found a gel that isn’t drying. Sometimes I just use leave-in, moisturizer, and and oil. My hair isn’t defined those days, but I’m okay with that. 3. Yes, I plan on doing another wash and go video soon. I’ll keep your questions and request in mind!

@LaToyaEbonyHair2 жыл бұрын
I’ve never noticed a difference either way. Warm temperatures slightly lift the hair cuticle and cold temperatures slightly close it. Tbh, I don’t think the fractional difference for the time we spend in the shower is worth worrying about. Do whatever you can do consistently and happily.

Thank you! I have low porosity hair. That’s why I put the shower cap on while in the shower. That’s what helps open the cuticle of the hair.
