Hi do they only grow in your country hot climate i don't no any thing about this plant it looks beautiful and different colours amazing thankyou for sharing
@GardeningUpbeat4 жыл бұрын
@Christine Bories, You are right...Allamanda needs warm climate and idea temperature is 18-27°C (65-80°F). It grows very well here in India and can tolerate quite hot temperature. Even in temperature like 104°F, it stands quite strong. In winter time, if temperature drops below 40°F (5°C), it would be ideal to keep them indoor. Thank you very much for watching the video and for your words, appreciate it :-) TC :-)

@SN Tandon, Namaskar Sir :-) They are hardy and grow easily from cuttings. Didn't remove the leaves to avoid the milky sap as it's toxic. Definitely you can take cuttings from your plant and grow as many as you like, Good luck Sir :-)

About how long do the cuttings take to root in water? And when you added water, you said “filtered water.” Should I use tap water or RO (Reverse Osmosis) water? I was afraid the RO water wouldn’t be good as everything is removed from it- I know RO water can leach minerals.

What kind of potting mix are used to plant the rooted ones..?
@GardeningUpbeat4 жыл бұрын
@Arathy D Pillai, Allamanda is easy to grow and can be grown almost in all types of soil. But I prefer to do it like I do for many plants and it works well for almost all plants. Potting mix - 50% Normal Soil, Cocopeat or Sand - 25% and Vermicompost - 25%. Instead of Cocopeat, sand is better for Allamanda. Thank you :-)

@Adeniums by S.K.SHARMA, Yes Sir, I would do that very soon in a detailed video about Allamanda. It's in progress and would share soon. Anyway, they need less frequent fertilizer and less water. I have many varieties and would share all..thank you :-)

@@GardeningUpbeat Yes Mr Chandan please do. How many varieties and colour are there of Allamanda? I have ordered for the dwarf yellow Allamanda from Kolkata . Maybe after the lockdown I receive it, but they don't have more varieties. Will you please let me know the source to get the different varieties of it? I will be highly obliged.
@GardeningUpbeat4 жыл бұрын
@Adeniums by S.K.SHARMA, Yes Sir, I would :-) Actually waiting for some more blooms as I like to cover everything in a single video. From the color wise, I have seen only 2 varieties - Yellow and Purple and both I have. From structure wise, there are few like - DWARF, Allamanda Allamanda schottii, Variegated, Vine, Creeper and Purple or Tiger Allamanda.Most of the times, I collect them from Nurseries in my place (Unfortunately, they don't have online selling option)...but I can see in Nurserylive, 4 varieties are available. Thank you very much :-) One note - KZbin really doesn't send any notification for nested comments. So, sometime it may look like I am not replying...but actually, I don't even come to know another comment has been places. So, if you don't get any reply to your comment (because I always try to respond each comments), plz add your reply as a new comment as then only I would get notification. Thank you :-)
