they recommend .080" and the best brand I have found is Ugly twist. It lasts much longer than the Ryobi string line and cuts through thicker weeds with ease

What about if the line is already in and it got stuck inside do you have to redo it?

I would remove the top portion and pull the string out and rewind. It's a pain but I don't know another way.

I just had that issue. Couldn't put in new string because there's plenty of string already inside. Took rubber casing off, saw the spool, rewound the string, pushed the heavy spring back in place, put rubber casing back on. Apparently string jams are a common occurrence.

Are you using .095" and cheap string or some good twisted line? When I used cheap string, I had it get really hot, and it was almost like it melted together.
