I think the easiest way to summon him is in a Dogmatika deck where you can rip out over half of your opponents extra deck and set up a good board in the process. Really fun deck.

Magia is like an Ace in the hole in a Blue-Eyes deck when the main combo fails. I use a Neo Blue-Eyes OTK and send Blue-Eyes Ultimate to the graveyard with it. If the OTK doesn't work I can always try for Magia.

Interesting. @4:10 based on how it’s written I would think you would be allowed to use blue eyes to summon it. The card ultimate fusion says It says must have “blue eyes ultimate dragon” or “blue eyes white dragon” mentioned but it doesn’t say the fusion has to be between those same mentioned cards just the cards mentioned on the overall text. Otherwise you wouldn’t be able to even use a chaos card with ultimate fusion since it’s isn’t explicitly mentioned

First part of ultimate fusion: During the Main Phase: Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck that mentions "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" or "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" as material Because dragon master magia mentions blue eyes ultimate dragon as a material that means dragon master magia should be a selectable target The next part… by shuffling the Fusion Materials listed on it from your hand, field, and/or GY into the Deck, then, you can destroy face-up cards your opponent controls, up to the number of "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" and "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" used from the field as material. No where in the card text says blue eyes ultimate dragon or blue eyes white dragon are required materials just that the card you bring has to “mention” them as materials. But yeah here’s hoping 🤞 it’s a bug that can be fixed

Been a blue eyes player for 22 years. Since this release, my best luck at summoning has been out of luck turn 1 and regularly turn 2. Lucky way is drawing regular poly, get 3 blue eyes cards and chaos max dragon in hand after card effects

For Damage Step, only cards that alter ATK/DEF points can be activated. Monster negates like Magia can be activated as well. Counter Trap cards like Solemn Judgment can also be activated as well.

And then there’s Tenpai, who can do things like special summon and dodge ash blossom and S:P thanks to the damage step. The damage step is actually a fairly big place and can slip up Pro’s at times.

It is ways to bring it out easy lol. One way is Cyber Stein the fusion card doesn't restrict you into being the only way. You can also use king of the swamp. People forget this card can be used to replace Blue-eyes ultimate dragon. Only problem is it isn't a search able card. So a deck that mill cards like Tearlaments could help. Dragon's mirror and any fusion card that will summon a dragon fusion card can help. If the card gets destroyed i think the best option is the synchro blue eyes or something that will be useful. Blues ultimate dragon isn't the card you want to bring out lol.

I actually have this card in my pure blue eyes deck, and it's really not hard at all to get him out. Especially only needing 3 blue eyes MONSTERS. With abyss dragon you can get the chaos blue eyes to hand, and poly, and with a pure blue eyes deck you should pretty much have 3 blue eyes monsters between your hand and field. So right there boom.

It'll be significantly easier to bring out in a Blue-Eyes deck once the new support drops. Prayers with Eyes of Blue in particular can let you bring it out on its own as long as you have a way to bring out vanilla Blue-Eyes or Alternative

I found that version to be pretty ok in Blue Eyes since you can search the Ultimate Fusion pretty easily(although Illusion of Chaos is probably a better card to search of Herald so DM might STILL be a better choice.).

1:22 I see why you made a deck for this. Honestly my first thoughts into making Dragon Master Magia was to literally send the pieces for it to the graveyard, so then you could use Dragon's Mirror or Necro Fusion or even Ultimate Fusion. Since Black Magician of Chaos, Magician of Black Chaos MAX, Black Luster Soldier, Black Luster Soldier - Super Soldier, and Black Luster Soldier - Legendary Swordsman are level 8 so we can use things like Trade-In when we have them in hand. Where as Illusion of Chaos and Magician of Chaos are level 7. So all we needed to do was find ways to send Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon from Extra Deck to grave and we have a myriad of cards that do that. I'm actually thinking of Dragon's Ravine for Blue-Eyes cards as well.

You can use 3 blue eyes monsters. I've seen someone do it on master duel already. Also, using something like the dogmatika engine and nadir servant can be an easy way to get the ritual cards in your hand and ultimate dragon in the graveyard

Being locked out of summoning for the rest of the turn, especially if it gets Ashed, is way too harsh of a drawback for the modern day especially if cards like Branded Fusion, Shaddoll Fusion, Ancient Gear Fusion, and even Neos Fusion exist that also use materials from the deck😅

The problem with Magia’s rarity in the TCG is that it’s just a bit too playable for a chase card. It’s not garbage or impossible to make like 10 thousand dragon or magicians of bonds and unity. There are decks and hands that can make it (especially with the upcoming blue eyes support) and it’s a great boss when it hits the field. Especially when it had normal printings in the ocg. Really a scummy move by Konami to make the nostalgia bait boss that is good and playable (with upcoming support) a 500$ chase card. Also the deck that makes it most consistent is using the dogmatika cards and finding your way to ultimate fusion, yes it’s a two card combo, but you can do it somewhat reliably.
