Easily Switching between Saved Inverter Settings

This video demonstrates how to set up your home assistant to enable you to switch your inverter settings by pushing one button on your dashboard.
Uses the ESP32 Integration, can be done using the Sunsynk integration as well but requires the writing of values to be enabled.
Is very handy with all the changes in Load Shedding levels recently.
I will do an automation to switch the level automatically once my EskomSePush profile get's unblacklisted.

@SolarIntegrations, thanks for the various videos. I started my rabbit hole of Home Assistant this week and am still a total newbie. Have you published a video showing how to write values/settings to the Sunsynk inverter from Home Assistant? I managed to get the SunSynk Logger Integration into HA working already. Just now need to figure out how to write to the inverter. And then also need to figure out how to reduce the unnecessary "logbook" entries in HA. There are various "entities" from the intergation which I don't need and they don't need to refresh every minute. Any ideas how I can do that?

Hi @conradfrohling , unfortunately you can't write setting back using the Sunsynk Logger integration, all the values come from the cloud server as you can't speak to the dongle directly so you will only get new data from the inverter every 3-5 minutes. There are two options that can write settings etc, either the ESP32 ESPhome integration or the KellerZa integration. I am busy with a video on the KellerZA integration and hope to have it up by the weekend, you can also check out my ESP32 video in the mean time as well. Good luck :-)

Another great vid! Help me understand the link between the Set SOC and Grid Charge entities please. I thought the Inverter will look at the SOC values and decide whether to charge from grid or not at the end of the time zone. Is the point of the grid charge setting here to force it to NOT charge despite the SOC that could be below the SOC value? If the above is correct, and i dont want that behaviour, would i be right in thinking that i therefore don't need the grid charge entities?

Hi @gooseza So the Grid Charge setting tells the inverter, if the battery SOC is below the set SOC level and it is connected to the grid then charge the battery up to that level. So for example if you have a load shedding session at night and want the battery to charge up again after the load shedding then you tick that box and it will recharge to the set level. Only really needs to be used at high levels of load shedding where we are expecting more than one load shedding session per night.
