A belated thanks for this. I last visited about 15 years ago. It looks like there have been real efforts to tidy up the site since then and make it more attractive for visitors.

I remember getting the Pooley van and riding in it behind Gunby the 0-6-0ST. I also remember getting a GER 6 wheel brake from Carlton Colville Museum. It was at the far end of a boggy field. We had to take the short bit of track up from behind it and lay it in front all the way across the field to the low loader.

Great to see some love for the EARM. Another railway I recommend checking out is the Mid Suffolk light railway, otherwise known as the Middy. It's one of those places that no matter how many times I go I still find something new and interesting.

I'll be sure to check them out!

Hey Ollie, some real gems there, would love to see the N7 running when it's all back together again. Many thanks for sharing your video. Take care and stay safe :) :) :)

And what a video that would be, the last remaining N7 back in steam! Hopefully in the next few years, and thank you once again for the donation, all the money goes back into the channel! 💚

Brilliant video, Ollie and very interesting. Having visited York NRM, watched your videos on restoring, and having restored some cars in my day... I really honor and respect what these people (and you) do! Nice one!

Hi Ollie Anothr nice video, is this a new series, lol visits to preserved railways. There are plenty to see around the country and lots with some interesting restored rolling stock. Keep up the good work. Thanks

It all depends on whether volunteers don’t mind being filmed and being able to wonder freely to film and get access behind the scenes. The EARM were very accommodating and I think that shows throughout the video!

Nice one 😁😁 great to see the support and helping of another preserved line, not really a kettle fan, but its amazing really the ammount of work that goes into them and to make them almost look as if they where brand new, they are extremely lucky to have a shed to do all this hard work

Il have to do a bit more on the diesels if I ever do a part 2! I need to go back on a running day too and see what an operational day is like

Nice little museum there, Ollie. Might I suggest you have a look at the Ribble Steam railway, just outside Preston, if it is not too far afield for you? They specialise in smaller industrial loco's, and share the road with an oil company, who use the line during the week, and the Steam railway use it at the weekends - sometimes shuntng tank wagons about for them. Of course they are less active at this time of year, but do have Christmas Special days. I have no personal connection with them - just pointing them out, as they tend to get by-passed and glossed over by the 'big' video makers.

I’ll have to take a look, can’t beat some tank wagons! Hope you enjoyed the vid!
