I've been waiting on this one. My grandfather stayed in 97 EC and as we have come to learn from YOUR videos and no one else's is that A LOT of this history occurred on the eastside in the ECC hoods. Thank you KM. This is historic and hearing the breakdown of the Crip unity is not only important but a missing piece to all the future generations that weren't there. Crippin really took a life of its own. Beyond the eastside. Beyond Raymond. Wow. Will be donating cuz this is truly priceless.

5-star interview. I have a feeling that OOOG Cat Ceasar will be the East Side historian equivalent of OOOG King Bobaluie. The East Side is so rich with Black history and I learned a lot in this segment. Big Kev Mac exemplifies that Overhills work ethic
@nigelhall28355 жыл бұрын
It's a trip, because when I initially watched this when it first came out, I didn't analyze the fact, the 76 EAST COASTS 1st Generation consists of 3 Generations. Mafias, Shacc Boys, and those that started solely as EAST COASTS.

Anthony Vercher this the equivalent of the OG's lacing us with the Grandees N Tana history in Compton, but this for South Central N the rest of the world to see what it became N why. The Eastside is the Mecca so to speak. Kev Mac really do this shit lol.

One of the things that impresses me the most is how sharp these guys' memories are! Like they are going back 40-50 years with details of names, dates & events. Just proves that just because they were active in the streets doesn't mean that they weren't active in their minds. Salute to Kev & these brothers for the history and pushing that positive line of unity instead of division now. 💯

KevMacc somewhere somebody is paying attention to every small little detail on what your doing and since Kmacc vids has made its mark and still is getting better each time you do a new segment just remember homie threat this like something so valuable it's almost like diamonds from Africa you are really doing a great service for are communities as long as you keep it real and don't let these outsiders throw you off of your focus I do believe in my heart your pioneering a new revolution for are people Man I feel if you keep putting it down homie your can lead the pack to where banging will turn out to be something that's makes all blacks get along and be as 1 big family like are ancestor that came before us and fought the real battle against all odds homie this channel if you know like I know can put are people in a place where can't nobody stop us nor compare but you need to make sure that's what you really hear to do fuck the money that's small shit we need a strategy to build a Nation and you doing it you just can't be thinking small dont let the devil sway you to where all you thinking about is a few dollas homie are people's is hurting just you getting rich would be a selfish deed on your part your the first Man to start bringing solid black that know how to be warriors homie just make the wise move or truthfully all of this is not worth seeing if the only outcome is one man getting rich just my opinion..Hope you can visualize what I tried to get across with you few short words keep pushing forward ...

Bill Dill Bill Dill lol respectfully that was great spill but get rich? Lmao. If I was ever to get rich so will the platform and everyone that graces it. If you think the NY video or me contemplating adding a membership fee for exclusive interviews is about getting rich then you got it all wrong. I’m sacrificing my entire life to bring these videos to y’all. Believe me I could be bending corners selling dope, doing home invasions, or fucking a bitch for money and self gratification. Instead, I’ve been crossing enemy territory and devoted the past 8 months to nothing but constant and consistent content, even when it meant renting a car and traveling, buying people food or drinks, or begging for a ride to get to the interview. Put it like this.. without food or power (electricity) it would be impossible to get any work done, or even charge my camera batteries, download and upload content to a computer, or edit the videos. These two things are mandatory and do require money, though not very much. Without these two essentials there is no me. Period. Let alone the fact time is money and if i had a 9-5 my work could never be done. And oh by the way, I do have a track record and trust me it ain’t one of being rich or not caring for my people!

Kev Mac Videos OOOG BIG CHEST LARRY WAS ORIGINALLY A E/S CRIP WITH RAYMOND AND AC, ON 77TH BETWEEN MAIN AND BROADWAY WHERE AC AND BIG CHEST LARRY LIVED , THOSE CRIPS BECAME THE ORIGINAL 77TH STREET SWANS BACK IN 1972 OR 73 . I USE TO SEE BIG CHEST LARRY HANGING OUT WITH THE YOUNGER SWANS ON AVALON AND 79TH ON THE CORNER NEAR FREMONT BACK IN 1989, I USE TO SEE THE WORD "SWANS" ON THE WALLS NEAR 77TH AND BROADWAY, ON MY WAY TO JAIL AT 77TH POLICE STATION IN THE EARLY 70S. THOSE SWANS ON AVALON IS NOT THE ORIGINAL SWANS, THAT'S BIG REGG SIDE OF THE SWANS' HOOD THAT CAME LATER , WHICH IS THE SWANS FROM 84TH - 80TH OR 79TH AVALON. I KNOW THEM PERSONALLY.
@joemosely93836 жыл бұрын
@frog where told Elvis Dexter brought Swans to the e/s, to the Avalon side. w/s Swans on 77st are the Original Swans (1972). ill leave their names out, but since you mentioned one, Big Chest Larry is one of them. Big Quake Mentioned East Coast had a 78ECC set on San Pedro & 78th......in the late-70s, early-80s..... And Vertis Swan, OG Crip, lived right their too. 79st Swans on San Pedro & 77st Swans 0n Main st.......thats to close for comfort if they was enemies at the time. Makes you wonder when did the Swans become an Anti-Crip Gang. What YEAR? Alot of Swans being ex-Crips, ex-Castles and/or having Big Brothers & Uncles that were Original Crips, gives us a window into how they were able to take over the area. It wasnt through WAR, it was through Conversions. They Converted the area and took over the recruiting pool. They co-existed as neutrals, while the Swans expanded/recruited before the Crips knew what hit them.

we should hear more about the shacc boys
@pharoah12006 жыл бұрын
I would definitely second that. The Original Shack Boys can give a "clearer" picture of the evolution into 76ECC's birth and/or history. I'm with you on that💯💯💯👍

Shout out to cat cease...... Although I different about Raymond intentions of expanding for one he never stop Ickey or #1 from recruiting and as you know they was all over the Eastside....I will say you came up with some real ones ...In your age group....Terry Simmons..Alton Jones....Tony Stacey....Fred and his sister Yolanda.....she was harder than Fred. . I'm thankful that you mentioned the McCoy's....Who hated the Avenues.... What was Raymond's relationship like with them since they all live right there together....Why not Dusty and the McCoy's verses wanting to be Avenues... The same with Jimel and the walnuts ......You mentioned us the Beach boys who ran Drew in 1970 .... I often wonder being in my position why didn't Crips ever come to drew at my time nor did anyone claim Crip by June of 70.. Raymond was kick out in 69 ... But never brought Crips up there after school.....In truth I never heard of them until high school or maybe summer of 70...... But everyone says 69......I really believe it was summer 1970.....We came up in the same park.I use to watch Terry run the ball flag football.... Alton knock the ball over the trees in left field.... The record hops ... Then the fighting lead to the shootings from friends to fools..... Much love cat

Mr. Lavender, were all of the Monson brothers Avenues? Is it true that after Big Monson slapped Raymond Washington, Raymonds elder brother sought Big Monson out for a fight?

Thank you for the answers Mr JL. On another note, how well did you know Craig Cruddock? According to the book done on Raymond "I am Raymond Washington", he was a central figure in the creation of the Crips and he and Raymond were very close. According to the book he was a real menace.

Kev mac I got a 92 Hoover original that wants to do an interview because he said all the history ppl been putting out there is bullshit.
@mowglifromthejungle56146 жыл бұрын
I want to say great interview overall, but their were a couple of things Id like to mention. Majority of your interviews are outside, I really like that type of atmosphere. The ones that weren't, we're done against a simple backdrop. Although I like the "KM" touch on the screen their is a lot to get distracted by while these men are speaking. Last thing, and I have no idea how to control this, but these guys didn't seem very enthused like some of your previous guests. Their knowledge and speech was amazing, but they didn't seem animated like many of previous folks you've had on your channel. Perhaps being outside might spark this, because visual remembrance often makes people happy, and remember the things that had happened over the years. Thanks for this video, along with every other one. Keep up the great work KM!

One thing that I've learned is that you can't please everyone. The 90s interview was done outside and people complained about being distracted by someones mouth. Quakes 1st interview was done outside and a kid was in the background and the Tie Clip Mic was interfered with by power lines. In other words there will always be distractions or complaints by someone in the crowd. But thanks for the feedback. I appreciate the comment.

@@KevMacVideos agreed, it wasnt as much as a complaint, but meant to be more constructive. I remember OG Quakes interview at the playground and the young boy screaming in the background. You're right, can't make everyone happy, but just this video being uploaded does it for me. I just always love the energy, and lighting of being outdoors, seeing the house down the street "that ____ lived at, and he was a ____, but he died over there on that ➡️ corner". Enjoy your evening and thanks again for the upload, "I see KM, I click".
