Samples are nice, but if you want to use that as some kind of legal proof, get a lawyer and ask about "preserving a chain of evidence". Bring that in to court a year later and they could say it came from anywhere. Get samples that matter. Store them properly. Have proof of where they came from and proof they weren't tampered with. Suggestion: use a full face respirator or a half face respirator with organic cartridges. The n95 are just for particulates and not for vapors. Test for Dioxins in the soil, air water above and below ground several times a day and start checking people for Dioxins! If you're not testing for Dioxins, you're covering for Norfolk trying to ensure they're not financially responsible for all that they should. Apparently there are only like 7 labs in the whole country that have the ability to test for dioxins. The government just omits testing for dioxins. Can’t find what you don’t test for. A scientist also said that the government did research and testing on dioxins long ago but never released the results because if they did they’d have to shut down whole sectors of the economy due to how toxic dioxins are and due to the liability. So they just pretend they don’t exist.

N95s are for particulates. You need masks for "volatile organic compounds", aka VOC's, like paint. They have an activated carbon layer that should stop MOST of that. N95s are basically useless. Think canister mask, with the little flat can on each side of your face. You can't smell anything in one. Perfume, car exhaust, thanksgiving turkey, nothing. $35-50 in a hardware store, it'll probably say it's for paint fumes, read more and it'll say VOCs on it somewhere. You're inhaling everything in the air there right now.

Those were kitchen gloves.... Those are nothing to synthetic chemicals and solvents. Any volunteers doing ground work should be equipped with at a minimum butyl rubber CBRN rated gloves that go up the forearm. Please protect yourself and those 3m masks are not rated for chemical solvents I bet. Get some respirators and browse the catalog of 3M filters that can stack and add protection layers to multiple chemical types. I believe these are caustic acid agents so an organic acid vapor filter would be great. Those look to be just p100 and those are for semi small particulate and nothing more.
